@DipKins33 fine for gaming. As long as you're not OCing too much you're fine because this does only use a 4 pin cpu power not the standard 8-pin in current motherboards. Results for gaming will mostly depend on your cpu, video card, ram, hdd/ssd,etc.
@BoxeoP4P i'll be getting a amd phenom ii x4 960t, 8gb of ddr3 ram, gtx 550 ti and 750gb western digital hard drive. is this good for gaming? i'm new to pc gaming X)
@DipKins33 it'll be a good gaming rig. Just stay away from 5400rpm hd, stick with 7200rpm if you can. 8gb not necessary for gaming, but if its within your budge it wouldn't hurt. Hf making your rig!
Would this board be appropriate for a mATX home recording PC setup? I am lookign for a motherboard that can house the following for a super small home recording set up:
- AMD Phenom II x6
- 8Gb RAM
- 1Tb HDD (my current build has this)
- DVD-RW
- Line 6 KB37 USB powered unit (keyboard and sound card in one)
@jarskiXD Mainly power consumption, crossfire limitation (usually only has 1 pci-e x16 slot) and overclocking limitation for cpu (board only runs off a 4pin for cpu power). You can definetly overclock with this mobo but I suspect as you get higher and higher mhz it will become harder to maintain. OCing capbability for GPU should be the same as any motherboard. If anyone has anything else to add feel free =) & hope that helps
@KedViper Add a nice video card in the x16 and it'll be good for games =). But most gamers (moderate to high) won't be buying this due to little/no room to expand and limited overclocking capabilities. Some hints are the price & the fact that it uses a 4Pin CPU power connector instead of the standard 8Pin (as well as a 4+1 power phase design). But other than that nothing wrong with using this board to game if you're on a tight budget or don't care for the "high performance" in games =) lol.
@BoxeoP4P Well, I can play Crysis Warhead on max settings (except for motion blur, cause it's to much for my head all the way up) and it runs very well.
@Jerry2665 Sure jerry, I won't be able to do it ASAP though. BTW, when you said you'd like to see what you can get out of it, did you mean OCing ability for cpu, gpu, ram, etc? Thanks!
good for gaming?

@BoxeoP4P the hd is a 7200rpm and the 8gb of ram is for a really low price so why not? And thanks a lot for the help :)

@DipKins33 yeah, RAM are pretty cheap these days and np :)

What is the difference between a micro-ATX mobo and an ATX mobo? Like in the performance?

Looks like a good little mobo. will you test it out on a system? Like to see what you can get out of it.

@BoxeoP4P Yes overclocking ability for CPU I think you said a low watt PSU is all it can handle. Or maybe you said all you would use.
