Why would we stay at 280ppm of CO2 as the earths temp gets warmer. It doesn't fit the theory. Also I would venture to say there are more animals on the planet now than in 1750. Simply because the human population has exploded since then. So if we all breath out CO2 and there are millions more of us would we not naturally increase the CO2 level? And do we really think that other natural things such as the sun don't have any affect? It's all us humans infecting the planet. Really?

But is it also so hard to believe that the sun and other things besides humans have an effect also. What gives this planet warmth in the 1st place? Why did, according to our science, we have ice ages in the past without humans burning fossil fuels? Can you really give me a good explination why the earth started cooling for a 30 year period at the beginning of WWII? I doubt it.

The concern is not simply over the fact that the planet is warming, but the RATE at which it's warming...which is faster than at any time in history. The real deal here is not whether the temps have gotten warmer but rather what is the cause. Is it all human intervention? I was told by a scientist which most would consider a real authority that we would still be at 280ppm of CO2 if it were not for man's intervention. This puzzles me. If the ice core data analysis is correct & solar influences start the warming process but the oceans lose the ability to absorb as much GHG so this increases GHG to amplify the warming then.
As sit here in approximately 40" of snow in the northeast of the US, I can help but wonder what excuse they could use to explain this weather. I have herd them all GLOBAL WARMING causes this kind of cooing LOL. I've haven't had to us my air conditioner in YEARS and yet I'm told that the earth in warming!
