Well-explained "tackle box" pack. However, where's the rest of your SURVIVAL GEAR & SUPPLIES? Will you drink lake water without purification? Fishing all day--but no snacks? Filet knife is fine, but can you baton with it? Hook stuck in your finger--medical kit? Stuck there all night--poncho/tarp, sleeping bag Bivy, etc.? Magnesium fire starter, cotton balls soaked in petroleum jelly, tinder, cooking pot, etc. to cook the fish?

@specopscommunity They are some cheap ones that I bought at the local sporting goods store here in Spokane. They don't have any name on them. Sorry. Thanks for watching
Trevor how would the monkey admin pouch fit on the front webbing of this sabercat??? hope not to big thanks again great vid thanks for sharing!!!!!!!!!
@ascorpio09 Lisa, I'm not sure how the Monkey would fit on there. But I can check on the Admin Pouch if you'd like.. I'll look into it tonight when I get home. Take care
gwynn i enjoy your videos. I'm curios on your total maxpedition gear? what all do you have from maxpedition? everytime i run into your videos you have a new pack :-D
@Ccoach55 LOL.. Truthfully, I have ALMOST most of their catalog.. I am a product tester and reviewer for them, hence why you see all my reviews actually using the product rather than a table top review. Thanks for watching
Hi, I have to say that I enjoy your videos very much. I am trying to put together a emergency backpack, something like the Falcon II you carry in your car. But I want to get it a little bigger, for like 4 or 5 days. For that I am considering: big agnes small one person tent or henessy hamock, mre's for 5 days, sleeping bag, thermarest neo air, katadyn filter, water reservoir, jetboil, flashlights, night vision, packable rain coat, etc. But none of the Maxpedition backpacks are big enough.
Thank you very much jfrojas.. I agree that the stuff you want to carry will have to be put in a bigger pack.. But if you consider an emergency pack should get you through the first 72 hours.. Depending on where you live, you could get rid of the sleeping bag and tent and go with a bivy bag to save room and weight.. The Thermarest could be replaced with a good bed of dry leaves in the right area.. Stay tuned for my revised edition of my Bug Out Bag
Thanks for watching rayngrace.. The Sabercat is to small to fit your netbook, but would be great for the DSLR.. I would recommend something along the lines of the General Purpose Bag (stay tuned for that video) or one of the tactical attache's found on Maxpeditions website
LOL.. My g/f actually got me started on the Maxpedition stuff, and once I find something I like, I stick to it.. It's an easy way for my family to know what to get me for b-days and xmas
Thanks for the great review. I coundn't tell what the bottom of the pack looked like. Is there straps for carrying a tarp or a blanket. Thanks. Great vidoes.
Glad you mentioned in the coffee video that you did a review on the Sabercat. Somehow I missed this one. Again you did a great review on another great piece of gear from Maxpedition. I said it in your other video, I hope you caught a few of those trout.
Another great vid! I almost bought one of those a few weeks ago. Gwynn your gonna get me in trouble with my ol lady if I start showing up with this maxpedition gear. Keep up the good work.
man im so glad you did this. i was just getting ready to sell mine because i dont like how it carries on long hikes but it will be fine for fishing! awsome idea!
It's a straight copy of the snugpak response pak!

@gwynn1975 see for us canadians just getting a pistol is difficult, its kinda strange for us, cant imagine carrying one around
lardmonk 1 year ago
@lardmonk Yeah I guess that makes sense. I've always carried concealed since I was old enough to own a pistol (21) So it's just natural for me
gwynn1975 1 year ago
@kevincsanf he should have just brought some dynamite lol :D

Just got my Sabercat in the mail. Like we talked about, I think it is going to make a great vehicle first aid kit. Thanks for the review.

gwynn1975 2 years ago
@cbr6864 What? I've been led to believe that all Maxpedition's products are "made in the U.S"? Are you saying this is not the case? oO

@theanvilcracks thats right they are all made in taiwan now, makes you think twice about spending all that money doesnt it
