  • Is something important because you measure it, or is it measured because it's important?

  • It's sad that this is so dead on! On the other hand, as misery loves company, I feel a strong solidarity with my colleagues across the continent. I wonder if it's a script that they pass out to administrators, or just a list of "talking points"?

I salute you all, my fellow scapegoats!

  • I'm betting the creators of this were once the GATE, ADHD bored kids in a "traditional" classroom. Thanks for sharing the insanity and laugh. Check out the Parent/ Teacher Conference with the same voices. Is there a website for these?

  • Too dead on! Just...too...dead...on! Great job!

  • @barjcoln a BCR is a brief constructed response... Basically a paragraph that follows certain rules. Whereas ECR is an Extended response also known as an essay.

  • What is a BCR? This is not a term I've heard.

  • This is pretty much where reform and NCLB has taken us.

  • Perfect - really true to life!

  • sad but true, sad but true

  • Brilliant! Thank you for exposing the madness in such a creative format.

  • "last meeting we all decided to look at student engagement, so i'm assuming instead of student engagement, we will be looking at something COMPLETELY different." LMFAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG!

  • Have we educators always been so retarded?

  • @mjursic Just administration!

  • This is so funny- it is exactly what my district has been doing for the past 5 years! I waver between laughing and crying at the staff development meetings, the PLC meetings, the ILT meetings and the DSLT meetings!

  • i love this! everything i've been thinking!

  • So hilarious and so true! "The one thing I will keep of yours is the objective. Since no one reads those anyway." Love the part about it not being an evaluation yet the need to use a rubric. HA!

  • Laughed till I cried again. These are great!!!! Please make 15 more!!! :)

  • if she doesn´t do paperwork bad teacher, bad teacher....but she knows her students and how they feel....something must change

  • People who aren't teachers won't get this. :) Brown mom was right!

  • so sad...so true.....brown mom you hit nail on the head

  • "terrible at modeling"? Insulting teachers: not the best way to influence change.

  • "...is there a way to differentiate the lesson by not doing such a shitty job of modeling?" beautiful :)

  • oh this is so reminiscent of our staff meeting yesterday. Jesus Cristo! they drew "genitals" is hilarious! OMG, genitals....

  • I really wish this were both less funny and less accurate.

  • unfortunately.... this IS what is happening with education... everyone should be up in arms ... we need a Take Back Our Schools campaign!!!!

  • Are you f******* kidding me? Robots teaching kids? I hope this is just a BAD JOKE!

  • "it is not supposed to be an evaluation." Had this EXACT discussion w/ admin.

Sad to find this is universal.

  • @thestealthblonde

true that-we had this same conversation at our last BLT

  • And I hope the educational discussion can move away from "bad teacher" to terrible policy and policy makers. This is sadly accurate

  • @TheBrownMom you hit the nail on the head. These are sad but so true.

  • @TheBrownMom you hit the nail on the head...these are sad but true

  • "The one thing I will keep of yours is the objective, since no one reads those anyway."

    YES!!

  • Awesome. Way to go.

  • Love it! I worked in a federally run school and this is way to real.

  • Oh the joys of incompetent admin's! This seems so universal for all teachers in the United States! NCLB needs to go! AWESOME!

  • Hilariously sad, only because it so closely parallels what's truly going on between adminstrators and teachers. Talking in circles and setting ridiculously unattainable and contradictory expectaions. Not to mention the fact that meanwhile the students as a whole don't give a crap about any of it and they're making a mockery of it all. ...."Is there a way to differentiate the lesson by not doing such a shitty job of modeling?" Haha, classic! Wish it were that straightforward to us teachers.

  • LAWD help us!!!

  • That was very good, although I like your other one better.
