I loved, and still love, this show, but the last season just plain blew chunks. This song is ALMOST the only good thing about the last season.

The woman who sang this song, on the finale of Roseanne. Her name was Phoebe Snow, she past away this past april at age 60. She had a great voice espcecially when it came to singing this song, so R.I.P Phoebe!

@shastasladybear Bonnie Bramlett, once of Delaney & Bonnie, was sometimes credited in acting roles as "Bonnie Sheridan," and did play a waitress and friend of "Roseanne's" for a few seasons.

I remember one episode when the Connor's were having a barbeque/picnic and Bonnie belted out, a capella, Smokey Robinson & The Miracles' "You Really Got A Hold On Me."

Thank goodness Bonnie sang and it was not Roseanne singing "The Star-Spangled Banner!"

I love both versions of the vocal in this song. Phoebe Snow is the same one that sang the first 'A Different World' theme song, right?

Any way, I just watched the last ep again today, and it was sad, seeing as how Dan died, and I just paid attention to the fact that the mother really wasn't gay, while Jackie was. And Darlene wasn't with David, but with Mark. And Becky as with David. I can't believe I never paid attention to that before. lol

@rubyragesbb Roseanne Conner stated in the last episode that things she didnt like in her life, she changed. Like Jackie being gay. So in her story, she rewrote it as if her mom was gay instead. Also Dan dying. She rewrote it as if he lived after the heart attack. With Darlene and Mark being together and Becky and David. She thought Darlene and David fit better, so she wrote it that way. Them winning the lottery was also a part of Roseanne's fantasy writing. All these things never happened.

@rubyragesbb In other words, from the first episode of Roseanne up until Becky meets Mark was not part of her book. But from when Becky meets Mark up until the last episode of the show, was Roseanne's book. So princessoftales, and what she wrote explainging everything to u, was all a part of Roseanne's book, and not part of her actual reality. Hope that helps a bit....;)
