I'm a little confused as to why sick people would bother praying to be healed then. They obviously dread death or they wouldn't care, they'd be glad they had whatever affliction they have. What good is trusting in God to heal you if you get exactly what you should be wanting and that's death?

Not at all, Simply saying There would be a multitude of better ways to make salvation possible to many more people And I think YOU can also see how this 'perfect' plan could have changed for the better.
Could jesus have gone on a magic mystery tour to america or any other of the places he knew were going to be ignored from his grace. Or why make torture result from unbelief at all, What good is faith, What wrongfull about good deeds being a measure of how people can lay up treasures in heaven.

It's a parable, not meaning to say that Christians will gather up unbelievers, but that on judgment day those who don't believe will suffer judgment. Sounds harsh, but that's the 200 word version.

salvation is not discussed as a parable. We all arent farmers, or sheep, but it is the picture of us in parables. God is not a physical father, but the Creator, the source of existence. People must realize that everything within the Bbile has context. And not everything is a metaphor, but some is. And there you rely on context. It is a harmonious and God-given document. Written down by over 40 authors over a period of 1500 years! What other document can be described in this way?

Luke 19:27 is part of a parable. There will be judgment from God on His enemies, but the Christians are not the ones who execute that judgment. We are forbidden from that, and expressly commanded to love our enemies. Vengeance belongs to God, it's His to give out and no human should presume to take that place. (Romans 19:17-19)
Same goes for Revelations 19:20-21. It is Jesus Christ Himself who will judge, not Christians.

I like those verse you cited in scripture, but, this is different. From the point of view of Christianity, I don't think we should ever presume to know what God thinks.
We shouldn't ever think of who to blame, we should only think about how to help.
We should all become experts in noticing when we are blaming. And, in that moment, reverse ourselves in thinking how to help instead.

Yes, He does dwell within the heart... but not every heart. He is given to those who believe in Jesus Christ. (John 7:39, John 14:17, Acts 2:38, Galatians 3:14, and others).

What necessarily does it mean to believe in Jesus? Is there a way to believe in him without picking up a bible? Because without this and in those terms, Jesus can possibly not dwell in the hearts of some men who are just being true to them self.
I'm sure there are atheists out there who are very, very unselfish people. They may follow the code of unselfishness.. and may not know why. I don't believe these people, if any, deserve eternal punishment.

I would have to disagree. One, it was not told to DAvid that he was being punished. When God punished people, he told them they were being punished. David was forgiven, can punishment be given for forgiven sins?

Your probably one of those guys, who if you were to murder someone, who would plead "Not Guilty". Everybody is accountable. God is just, for God is a righteous judge. There's no "Just let me off the hook" in the American Courts, which are starting to be corrupted, but there is Jesus, who let's you off the hook IF you truly ask for forgiveness. It's that easy, yet people deny him because they do not want to admit they're wrong. People and their image.wow.

Most Christians, secure in their salvation wouldn't dread death, Pablo. I might wish I didn't have to leave people behind who I feel need me, but my personal joy of being one step closer to my Savior would be overwhelming, even though I would have to suffer illness for 3 months.

Pablo, read Romans 8:28....God works ALL things together for good who are called according to His plans and purposes! God is sovereign. Don't stand in judgment over the God who created you. BTW, the Christian life is not about happiness, but about righteousness of which we can not attain on our own. This is the reason for the Cross. Christ imputes His righteousness to all those who repent and trust in Him alone!

I'm a little confused as to why sick people would bother praying to be healed then. They obviously dread death or they wouldn't care, they'd be glad they had whatever affliction they have. What good is trusting in God to heal you if you get exactly what you should be wanting and that's death?

While I'd gladly die doing something of profit, like saving anothers life, being martyred for Christs sake etc. I see that me being alive brings greater good to my friends, family and for the work God might have me do. Therefore I would try to persuade God to keep me alive for the sake of others primarily, but of course also for the joy life brings me.
