  • notice how long the snake stayed in the circle before it made a move. usually when you put a snake down, it will immediately dart off. in this case he stalled because the lime is actually working. the snake had no choice but to eventually cross the line. so he made a quick run for it. but he probably will avoid that lime area. so it asctually works :)

  • Actually, the snake I worked with here is a many banded krait (Bungarus m. multicinctus), which is a highly venomous nocturnal snake. Because they are nocturnal, they tend to freeze when you uncover them during the day, and once they realize they are in the open, they will move off. We often use this behaviour, which I have noted in many snake species, to take photographs of snakes.
