  • yep. I like the noise interference side chain effect during the insert texts and transitions. They didnt really know much back then but knew how to get the right sound for themselves. Their work is a miracle really... !

  • 2:40 "do you think this is a good time for independent music?" A: "i don't know really..." hehehe nice one!

  • "Personal confusion."

  • A Clockwork Orange at 3:34

  • that interviewer is a spack, stupid questions.

  • @gez2007 totally agree

  • what an explosion in my brain it was, hearing it the first time, so much so that it's completely f*cked up my ability to use grammer. Not that give a shit do I!

  • what was the name of the home property programme paul thompson presented?

  • "you the pick of the bunch you reckon?" haha

  • I love how he asked them if it was a good time for indiependent music and they said uhh I don't know not really haha. If they only knew.

  • No offense, but musically speaking saying My Bloody Valentine is/was emo is like giving them the finger...

  • @KronnangDunn or blasphemy

  • they are so weird

    i love MBV!!!

  • colm looks so bored. lol.

  • I think that's the same shitface interviewer that tried to make Pixies uncomfortable.

  • @NinetiesYouth Yep. That host is weird. He did the same with A-ha. You should see that interview. lol.

  • i like to see this "vintage" interviews of My Bloody Valentine

  • at 3:56 there is an image of Prince & Cat from the "Sign O The Times" film - that is so cool that an indie band would referance Prince - in the 80s, it was not cool to be into 'underground'/indie AND into Prince!

watch out though coz if He notices, he'll be after MBVs collective asses & remove all the 'Made Me Realise' videos offa YouTube

la la la, hee hee heeeeee

    ;-)

  • Actually, there were a lot of musicians, including underground/indie bands, who were into Prince. Some may have been more open about it than others.

In their Loveless era, Kevin had good things to say about Prince in an Alternative Press article.

  • yeah? thats cooool

    :-D

  • Cool

  • Cheers!

  • the presenter is a pure gimp. proper gel-boy. nice vid though, thanks for posting.

  • Yeah, I know it's rare, I've never seen anyone else mention it anywhere in the 20 years that I've had it on video. I think I might be the only person that actually saw it at the time!

The interviewer's name is Paul Thompson, funnily enough I think I saw him presenting a home improvement programme a few years ago!

  • Wow, this has got to be a rarity that you've dug up, and I'm always up for a MBV interview. However, who is that knob of a presenter? He seems so clueless!

  • Excellent work

  • nice, tnx !
