Better known fact. Laettner traveled before he took the shot.  Should have been a turnover. Refs later admitted blowing the call. Combine that with the fact that he should have been ejected in the second half for intentional kicking Timberlake in the chest after charging him and this game was the biggest farce in tournament history.

actually timberlake should have been ejected undercutting a player is the worst thing u can do in basketball because u can flip a player over while he is in the air if u undercut him,this is rare in basketball because most players wont do this because there is an honor code among them in bball if you played basketball you would know this.

@jayfey77 He admits he lost his cool so what's the big deal, heck there is a video on youtube that proves it, at the very least you shouldn't defend this asinine move by Laettner.UK deserved to lose I agree, they didn't guard the inbound and put Farmer on Laettner, pretty stupid move even for Pitino but there was no undercut on that play. Would like to see it if anyone has a copy of that if it really happened earlier in the game.
