  • check ben adamah dot com cheers

  • I think u hot;) I could do wit a little bit of u in my diet:p

  • ok i agree sugar is not very high calorie but the real reason to avoid sugar is it's bad for ur health :P

  • try dextrose .... organic dextrose. :)

  • cheers from the junglesurfer

  • hell yes about the sugar the sweetners are caustic deadly and paid there way into the market back in the 70's you can also buy organic sugar that is a little bit finer grain for cooking.

  • I thought the thinking on SOY,was that it`s not so good for you?? Apparently it raises estrogen levels!

    Whats your thinking on SOY?

  • I don't eat soy. I used to, but not anymore. It's very mucous-forming and slows down the body's healing capabilities, as well as digestion.

  • hi, could you post a video on what you eat in a typical day and what excercise you do? i go to the gym 4 days a week and try to eat healthy but i like to see what others are doing to get ideas on how to improve my routine!

  • You haven't done a Q&A in a while. I really enjoy hearing other people's questions and your thoughts on them. Will you be doing any more Q&A videos?

  • I'm actually going to do a FAQ video soon - but no more Q&As are planned right now -- maybe when I get back from CA :D

  • Is the FAQ video you're planning to put up going to explain the little boxes on your diary on your "Day in the life" on WeightLossLosers? I'm quite curious about that =D I'm in love with that video btw, awesome job. I've checked TONS of your videos - I plan to check them all out eventually - and I've learned a lot (I LOVE your grocery hauls! I wish I could buy as much organic stuff as you do). Have fun in CA! ;)

  • There is no way to guarantee that natural food really doesn't have crap in it. It's propaganda. Most of the manufacturers just jumped of the bandwaggon after the organic revolution. Read the label, don't just trust the natural level!

  • I do - I always read labels... but the differences I described remain :)

  • Yeah but other people that may be seeing this don't. My mom thinks that keebler or nabisco make natural cookies but I say some with propylene glycol or some shit like that. And hydrogenated oils.

  • im in love LOL XD

  • do you have a myspace page?

  • incroyableantishay

  • Never eat before you seep.

    lol!!

  • ive heard water can be used as an appetite suppressent-i totally agree.i believe u should drink a glass before a meal not drink in between each bite. the water u drank before the meal already filled ur stomach up! if u take a drink or sip in between each meal itll most likely cause u to go to the bathroom and get hungry making u eat more.you all know your bodies! take care and thank you for letting me share.antishay what do u mean about the sugar like the sachrin

  • Im vegetarian how should i get my protein???

  • if you're 100% vegetarian...you can still have: pease, bean (but be aware that they're high on callories)

If you have milk products: then the prob is issued

You can have: fat free milk, cheese, yogurt

  • Veggie meats made from soy will be high in protein, and also cheese, soy milk and regular milk, nuts and beans. You can also take a protein supplement if need be.

  • OMG !! U r Damn Cute.....

I dont care about the video. U r so sweet.

  • does the same thing apply about eating before bed with drinking? can you drink water or milk before bed?

    thx for info

  • Water is awesome to drink always, although drinking right before bed may lessen your quality of sleep because you'll have to pee in the middle of the night (consciously or unconsciously). Milk counts as food.

  • Hey Shanti, I would like to know whether I can still add in protein tablets even if I already have protein diets? BTW, you look so much healthier =D Congrats! I feel happy for your progress.

  • Thank you :)

You need to only have how much protein as you need - no reason to overdo it.

  • I have a question: do you pay attention to how many carbs you eat or no?

  • No.

  • so why do you use sugar in the raw instead of stevia in the raw? stevia has no cals...is it bad for you like the other artificial sweetners like aspertame and splenda? just wondering what you think about that..thanks!

  • Stevia is in it's natural state unlike Splenda, and other artificial sweetners, so it is a better choice.

  • Stevia is great and all-natural and in 400 years has never hurt anyone - it's AWESOME. However, I just don't see the point in spending the money $10-$15 so I take the 30 calories and have sugar instead :P

However, if you're trying to stay away from simple carbs, then eliminate the sugar and use Stevia.

I also hear that it's got a strange flavor when you use larger quantities, but I've never tried it :)

  • 5 stars... thank you for all your support and comments! YOU ROCK!

  • Overeaters Anonymous I believe is such a AA for fatty's kind of thing. :) I'd better get a free signed copy of said book though. ;)

  • y did adam leave the group

  • I love these q&a's! I stop eating between 8 & 9pm and i get to bed after midnight sometimes, so in the middle of the night i wake up feeling hungry..so i'm gonna try to go to bed earlier, or spread my meals out more so that i've stopped eatimg at least 2 1/2 hours before going to bed...thanx

  • Awesome!

  • Have you read he book called "Eat this not that"? It's super interesting, and when I saw it I thought of you! Check it out it has nice pictures of all the products at stores.

  • Great video. Very informative

  • i love sparkpeople... and the 50 million pound challenge is really good as well..

  • hiii i have a question [:

i have a SERIOUS salt problem...i love salt. & i crave salty foods.

i use something called NoSalt...it's a salt substitute...100 grams of the stuff has only 3 mg sodium!

though some people disagree, i think it tastes just like salt, except maybe if it were by itself(yuck!).

have you ever tried it? or do you know if it is harmful at all?

  • I've never tried a salt substitute before... I will need to research!

  • I love your videos! Thanks for such awesome advice and information. :)

  • EXCELLENT Q&A video. 5 stars!!!!

  • have you ever tried stevia? im curious how it tastes and the benefits. I hear its an all natural sweetner. great vid!

  • I usually use STEVIA a natural sweetener. What do you think about that product?

  • OMG! I loved this video, in fact the whose series of Q&A is amazing and i am learning so much, even if you know the things you are saying Its good to be reminded!

    Keep up the great videos!

    Stefan =)

  • Sugar in the Raw I thought would be really expensive. I've wanted it since I spotted it at Starbucks. And it was like .67 for erm, 20 something packets. Next time though, I'm going to grab a bag of it at Whole Foods.

    Also. Best Q&A yet!

I hope you realize how many people you are helping. A big thank you all around Shanti. <333

  • yes, ma'am. our bodies are basically bio-mechanical machines that need constant maintenance and care, though these machines are grown and not built. And yes, I'm signed up to sparkpeople, I got dinner and 2 more snacks in my nutrition left. had a nice workout earlier, as well. =)

  • 2 other really good free sites are also Fatsecret & Fitday. Also if you like noodles could try Shirataki / Yam or Miracle noodles as they have zero or very low calories & carbs. :-)

  • Great info as always!!

  • THANK YOU!!!

i hear so many people saying you shouldn't eat after a certain time, i think jason adressed this too, your body doesn't know what time the clock says it is completely about digesting!!! thank you for clearing this up!!! we know people will listen to you!!!

  • amazing video:) as always!

  • I agree with you about feeling yucky after eating out.

  • I enjoy these a bunch! I have a question...I'll send it as a message

  • How many calories do you consume in a day? :o

  • Totally depends on the day. My maintain-weight intake right now is 1900 so I aim for about 1400/day, and up to 2400 when I exercise, depending on how much I burn when I work out.

  • I never eat before I seep!!!

  • << Going to have certification in psychology and nutrition --- hire me

  • I know! ;)

  • and then you, Jason, can hire me, under you! lol

  • I really like your videos on answering questions! Alot of the questions you answer are things I have never really thought about before but they help alot! If that makes since. So thanks for answering everyone's questions in front of everyone!

  • thank you for the help. i did find how many calories i have to eat per day, but i cant see any information on how much protein, fat or carbs you have to eat a day . If you can give me a site that i can find out i will love you forever :) thanks you are the best:)

  • That's a great point. I'll get to researching ;)

  • Shanti you are so smart! I heart you :) We have the same views on a lot of weight loss related topics. I love how you just tell it like it is.

  • Hi Shanti! Great video. I just yesterday watched the video where you are trying on your wonderful clothes and pretty heels, and you said that they would probably fit you around your 23 birthday, in august. I just wonder if you have tried them on after this video, and after loosing all this weight?

You look great btw, you're doing a fantastic job, and should definatly consider a job involving weightlossguidance or something in future!

    Peace.

  • Yay! I talk about sparkpeople in one of my videos. They're great.

  • Wow..ya managed to get lots of stuff into this one...go you! lol i'm so with you on the sugar..I eat nothing with artificial sweeteners..though I don't eat much with sugar in any form at all, but always opt for natural sugar or honey. Scary what the fake stuff does to you ::shudder::.same with butter. Sparkpeople is great..I also love Livestrong(.)com/the daily plate..LS has a great forum with tons of info. Great answer on the protein too..food is the best way to get it if ya can YAY! :O)

  • one thing is for those of us that are diabetic sugar raises insulin levels I would rather use stevia

  • Ah, yes! Stevia is awesome - any natural sweeteners are OK in my book.

    <3

  • Cool! :)

  • thank you !

  • Tell them to read the chapter on Artificial sweetners in Skinny Bitch... uhhh Eye opener for sure!!!

'Nutrasweet and equal [and diet coke] contain Aspartame, Once ingested, one of the ingredients converts into formaldehyde, a DEADLY neurotoxin'

Anyone remember science class? The animals you disected were preserved in formaldehyde... sick.

& 2% of splenda contains small amounts of methanol and arsenic [heavy metals]

I agree, 30 Calories for raw sugar is worth it.

    Thanks Shanti :)

  • Exactly! And for people worried about their insulin, natural zero-calorie sweeteners like Stevia work great :D

    <3

  • good info...

  • Awesome! As usual! I'm so glad you mentioned sugar. I also eat a small amount on my oatmeal. The real culprit is the fact that most sweets are enveloped by fat! I am just in baby steps as far as eating healthy. I'm "transitioning" from eating an all junk food diet...In fact I just posted a video about it. I suspect there are many out there like me.

What types of preservatives and additives do you feel are the MOST harmful?

    Shanti for President!

  • Very informative video.

  • Hi Shanti, I subscribed to your channel recently and I've been enjoying your videos, they're really helpful. Great Q and A today, too!

  • thanks! that was great, again I learned alot.. and it wasn't too much at once..I will look foward to another q & a ! you're the best..(if you wrote a book..I'd buy it!)

  • thnxz shanti it really helped

  • So much Help from this Video! Thank you Shanti!!!! I may have to take it slowly instead of just giving it up for 40 days. lol Great job! Thanks for educating us!!!!

  • woooah, I had a vision of you with that shirt, that hair....lots of laughing

    surreal vision of mine :P

  • Your visions must be strong!

    ;)
