wow i like it, am really intrigued by Vue now , but i guess even with my new quad core setup its still gonna take an age to render, there are 2 version of this aren't there one that works inside max and one that doesn't which do you recommend, if you use the standalone how do you add max meshes into the scene, and if you use the the other version does it come with its own renderer inside of max

@MrGobbledegook theres are loads of 3d animation programs, its just a matter of learning to use them, as for chroma key check out markapsolon youtube channel. Hes the best on youtube for help on that with loads of tutorial n software reviews :)

The best way of doing animation of people on Vue was to use the Poser import feature.

I like Vue, was one of the original Beta Testers for Vue 2, the lighting engine is incredible, but, as someone else stated, you pay for that in CPU.

Having fun with Vue 7 at the moment, they've actually got the lighting engine to the point where you can fire white light into a prism, and get a rainbow out the other end...

It would have taken 4 years to render it with ecosystem.Importing space ships and planes can be tricky if you use mirror on 3d max or lightwave you are screwed.

of course you can move them, but I don't know how is it with the animation. there is an animation wizard and timeline, but I didn't try keyframing values or something.

I have the same configuration on my PC and an render in vue 7 whith 10 sec. of animation takes about 6-8 hours .....!!!! The render depend's on what kinde of animation you whant to do ...(complexity and quality of your video )

Hi!! I think that's awsome, but i use maya and for me i think is much better maya. But you know is for the experience what i have in maya. But that's program do you have is great and very realistic rendering. Is amazing good stuff in your first animation with Vue 6.

Everything you see in this video is made with Vue 6.I rendered it in about 46 hours ,and my pc configuration is AMD Athlon(tm) 64 Processor 3200+

RADEON X800 Series 256MB

1GB RAM and pc is 5 years old :D

You'd better use this software within other apps like 3ds max via plug-in. Mental ray render engine would be much faster than vue's one.

i find ultra overkill personally...too much of very little if you get my drift.

create a user setting, then tick every box in the middle, including 'optimise last render pass' column, and set your anti aliasing to 6 min and 8 max.

itll knock half of your render time off and look just as great.
