Oh i know what it is, this is exactly like mounts in regular wow. If you attempt to make a jump while standing still on a mount then of course it makes a noise. What people don't know is if you move that sound actually stays in the exact same position as where you started from. I must admit it is a bit of a fail on blizzards part but not a big deal. This seems to be a relative of another broken part of wow to it :P
