nice playing man. I also have a Yamaha DTXtreme iii but will be looking to invest in SD2.0 as all the voices I've heard are really good. The Yamaha voices are decent and I've recorded with them, but they are not up to par with the SD2.0 stuff.
Thanks mate, that was great. I've got an acoustic kit which I no longer can play (noise/space problems), and I have Superior Drummer 2.x on my Mac Pro. I've been looking for a digital kit to connect up to SD/dfh to play it live. I like my rolls, as I see you do, so I'm looking towards the Roland line with its bouncy mesh pads, though if it weren't for that I'd go Yamaha for their USB/MIDI out convenience (with Roland I'll need a MIDI/USB adaptor, just one more thing to go wrong).
@Gairlochan I have a Yamaha DTXtreme iii kit which is comparable to the now DTX 950 you will find that Yamaha uses drum samples direct from their acoustin maple, oak, birch and beech kits so they are authentic wood sounding kits that sound excellent, I find that people with Roland kits spend alot of money on them and still need to connect to a drum software system!!
Hi Patrick I really like your videos and you are a great drummer, I have superior drummer and a also have the "Hit Factory" but your preset sound excellent and would like to know if you can share with me how do you get that amazing sound in superior drummer. Once again thank you for your videos and your great talent. Yainer Horta ( altosaxmusic@hotmail.com)
I've been an acoustic drummer for 15 years, but want to get a e-drum set just like your TD-12. To get the sounds of the Superior Drummer 2.0, you have to run the triggers through a computer? You can't just load the Superior Drummer sounds on the TD-12 module? This is all brand new to me.
@uncleben03 yes, you have to route it to a computer that hosts Superior Drummer 2.0. You don't actually need a DAW to run Superior Drummer 2, you can use Toontrack Solo to act as host if your'e not in need of a full blown DAW.
lovely drumming.... do you know of any way of using a td12 live wtih hit factory sounds as I find the td12 sounds are not great? (also without having to bring a computer to the gig!!)
@fayser1 Hey,I know what you mean! I use an e kit I kinda made for live gigs,I bought a td-4k kit and replaced the rubber pads with some alesis real head that been replaced with mesh heads,Alesis controlpad w/trigger i/o for extra outputs,I still use the rubber pads for percussion,A presonus firebox, module goes thru firebox, controlpad is usb asio,i/o is usb2,asio,all to pc with ezdrummer, percussion pak and ezplayer set to start and stop by hitting 1 pad for tamb, shaker, some bongos.
I love the groove you do from 0:09 to 0:12 ! How do you do it please i can't figure it out ? And by the way geat playing with a lot of subtleness! Pierre from France

But wish their was a way to load ezdrummer into a module, even if it is just some basic sounds,Like a big ass sampler with outputs.

When you use SD2 it sounds OK, but it feels a bit odd to buy and e-kit for loads of money and then use a plugin?? Doesn´t it?
I use this new e-kit that has the same kind of architecture as SD2 (alternating samples etc. ) but all in one module with 8 outputs...;-)

It´s NOT some crappy no-name e-kit, it is from THE GUY WHO INVENTED DDRUM, the e-drum pioneer brand!
Chokable cymbals, 4GB onboard memory, the list is long...
I JUST LOVE MY KIT!

The sounds from SupDrum 2.0 are better than the TD20 even.
