THE NIGHT FRANK DIED I WAS AT LARRY MINICK'S SHOP...WAITING FOR FRANK TO ARRIVE TO TEST THE NEW 100H...HE NEVER SHOWED UP...HE ARRIVD IN HEAVEN TO PLAY WITH GABRIEL...TROULBLED BUT SOOOOO GIFTED...MY TRUE INSPIRATION !!!
@Jacob12318 Hello Jacob. Was was not aware as to to who you're father was, until was invited by Neal Hefi, to attend live LP album session for; "Sinatra and Swinging Brass, for two nights. Was thrilled to watch and listen to; Ben Webster, your Dad, Earl Palmer, Bill Miller, Al McKibbon and Conte Candoli, and of course, Frank & Neal Hefti in action. After, purchased "Little Band, Big Jazz." My GOD!!!!!!!!!!!
How can you not know Frank Rosalino ? lol he is like an inspiration to all trombone players (well at least his musical abilities, not his personal life).

@Jacob12318
Hi Jacob:
I wonder how is one of the Frank kids that survived that awful, tragic night.

@ferdinangenius I would have to ask my dad. I dont really know the entire story. Ill ask him and get back you you about it.
Jacob12318 8 months ago
@ferdinangenius Only one of Frank's sons died, and besides, he said "great uncle" not "great grandfather."

It seems hard to find recordings of Rosolino so I am glad that there are some postings here.

I saw him in person at the Lighthouse in Hermosa Beach. Sorry to hear we lost a great musician. Thanks for posting this tune.
