No diss to FP, but Melrose's sound was more controlled and cohesive. MHS was pushing CLEAN watts. FP had better instrumentation, but MHS USED their instrumentation better.

The only Melrose had on us was sound but when you got people in our band trying to outplay the loudest person there. Y'all had like 1-3 people on each instrument then yea y'all are gonna have better sound. We had 40 peeps and everybody was crankin. But I mean thats what Forest Park Marching Panthers do...Crank.!

No lie, I go to Melrose but I love how Forest Park shows no reguard for downbeats or cut offs. They come in when they feel like it, they cut off when they feel like. PLus they loud and out of control, and they can still say they win battles. Thats cold, when a band sound bad AF, a small band clearly giving them the biz and they still get on Youtube talking like they just Bethune Cookman. NOT EVEN CLOSE. I love yall doe.

excellent job on filling up the instruments! trombones held it down with that aggr, sound of coarse there is 2 things to work on like note lengths,and tone but other then that flawless victory. melrose was to but the only thing making you guys look bad is the "small town mentality" being shown with your comments. being the obvious college graduate here i KNOW forestpark got this one. im from houston all day but when they say atl is the mecca for marching bands forestpark really lived up to that!

while everybody stuck on the "VIDEO" who was there to see it? this video doesnt do either band any justice. okay yall sounded good but fp had all around better show.. melrose with out a doubt yall did good but at the end of the day the crowd wanted a show... im pretty sure more than half of the people in the stands had no musical orientation.. the only time melrose got house was when they KEPT REPEATING where yall came from. so yea the people in the stands were the judges.

We definately took that one..we were way more clean and articulant than fp and horrible job on contagious...mellophone(s) stuck out like crap.! and they were inconsistant.! just because were were together it put more emphasis on our show.! and fp dance routine lacked energy we were more energized.!

i'm from FPH and in my opinion Melrose did beat us. our percussion messed up and Melrose has better tone and dynamics than we do/did. FPH get's loud and ignorant out there so we don't sound the best.
