  • I know exactly who they are. They are pretty close to my age, to be exact...

When it comes to death I never look at it in jest, especially since the death of my son 18 months ago. It really makes you stop and think and trust me when I say your comment did just that.

  • I miss SRV so much! Why can't the plane, helicopter. etc. of New Kids On The Block or someone like that go down? It's always got to be the great ones.

  • @thegorn68 how can you say something so cruel??? What have these kids ever done to you??? You'll regret those words one day...ever heard of karma??? I feel sorry for you that you feel you should wish the death of others...

  • @tbazany Chill! It was in jest. I just randomly picked a shitty group out of thin air. These "kids" you speak of are all pushing or past 40. Do you even know who they are to get the joke?

  • If anybody wonders how his guitar has that odd spinning sound, it's because he used a fender vibratone amp, it was a Leslie speaker amp, which have a rotating speaker.

  • saw him play many times in Dallas..

  • I love this song!!!

  • once i was really sick and really drunk and down on my knees...and stevie came to me and said:let me help you out kid...i can wield the blues...then i woke up fealin great

  • excelleng song!!

  • One of my all time fav's

  • 1:07 now i know why his guitar is so worn out! He's having a snack when nobody is watching :D

  • I can play this! Really fun and awesome bit of blues to jam along to on a strat ! :)

  • SI

  • How is he not in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame?

  • @DarkCelticPrince cuz he doesn't play rock & roll?

  • @uglybasterds The Beastie Boys, Neil Diamond, Bill Monroe, & Run DMC are in the "Rock & Roll" Hall of fame. They didn't play Rock & Roll. So Yeah SRV Belongs in there!

  • R.I.P STEVIE....YOU'LL ALWAYS BE MY MAIN MAN

  • @phillipprice - Can't remember the last lap dance I had......glad you'll have a good memory of this song!

  • @StratDarkness You got it backwards, Zorro looks like a gay version of him.

  • nothing like a cold shot of vodka.

  • I'ts called "SHOW" Bizznezz. You have no idea how much fun it is to put on your wardrob and do four hours of rock'n'roll!! The only thing that comes close is "SEX"

  • @007dicktator That was the most pathetic retort I've ever seen.

  • +1

  • @StratDarkness Stevie Ray would've kicked Zorro's ass!

  • smooth as fuck!!!

  • I didn't come to see an onion get tazered!

  • fuck off with the advertising!!!!!!!!

  • 1:07 If I'll eat guitars as well will I be as good as Stevie

  • @HoundDogJohn yes but stay away from the one's with lead paint hehe

  • @HoundDogJohn we all be chewing up fenders then!! wont be a guitar left to play cause almost every human want to eat one! :D

  • @HoundDogJohn Im a guitarist we are all different and unique you might not be SRV but you shouldnt be a copy you should be you, an original, you think SRV learned guitar overnight ,it takes practice you never know you MIGHT be just as good if you practice :)

  • @MaximumMisery Dave Grohl is the best since Bonham!

  • excellente choice!! tks soooo muchh!

  • Stevie ray vaughan rest of my life.. God of guitar playing!

  • loooord, those youtube commercials really pissed me off

  • If i ever through a outside bash, party, this would be the intro song to get us in the mood to 'get down'....ye baby!!

  • RIP SRV ~ the sky cries for you today ~ Happy Birthday Steven Ray Vaughan born today in Dallas, Texas. Coldest shot was day we lost you.

  • As The Righteous Brothers once sang if theres a Rock n Roll Heaven you know they have a hell of a band Hendrix and Vaughn jamming backing up Elvis? WOW!!!!

  • Im Jamming with SRV on youtube lol

  • Yeah it was beassties on mind pretty much all the time

Till I started smoking pot and figured out about sublime

Oh my god I never wanted something so badly

I wanna learn to play guitar and sing just like Bradley

And the b lines that Eric dropped reminded me of hip hop

And I'm singin loving is what I got I got I got

Cause when the loving was gone

I learned to play the blues through Stevie ray Vaughn

I needed music for all the ways it helped me feel

And now I'm loving my guitar

  • OUTSTANDING! There is some ASS trolling great performances all over YT and disliking them, seemingly just to be mean and it is getting old. GET A LIFE, SIMON!

  • ugh reminds me of what my ex was like lol she was a cold shot

    >.< THANK GOD IM SINGLE AGAIN!!

  • just LOVE this song. classic.

  • I accidentally typed: "Cold shit" when searching for this song...

  • whoever that one person who disliked this needs to get himself checked out.

  • ps hey czech you forgot warren haines and duane allman

  • i truly believe BBwas right when he said SRVwas a black man trapped in a white body damn he can belt the blues

  • love the tune/beat of this song :)

  • His best song in my opinion. easily

  • his music seems to make you wanna move or just sing with it, he is an amazing singer/guitarist

  • My girl has been givin me the cold shot for now on a week so far...I wish she would warm back up the way she used to be...until then all i got is anime and stevie ray...

  • Thank God,there`s a lesson on this!!!! I`m getting on it at once! :) Keep on rockin`, good people...

  • I like empty arms, couldnt stand the weather, voodoo chile, lenny and riviera paradise. Those are my top 5.

  • i think that pride and joy is the most awesome song and this another great one!

  • First song I ever heard fro Stevie, Always will be my favorite.

  • Am I the only one that got freaked the fuck out by that first pic of stevie? He looked like an old silent horror movie villian!

  • Ok, what dipshit said they dislike this? It's Stevie for God's sake!

  • 1:09. uhmm... ??? lol

  • SRV what a talent. Everybody rightly so concentrates on his guitar playing, but on this song in particular, his smooth vocal is what gets me. You guitar heads don't realize it, but he's paying tribute to the great bluesman Bobby Blue Bland

  • We've started a youtube channel to get real music back. Our plan is to gain subscribers, and have bands sending us demos. We'll feature the best songs on our channel, so people can stay updated on new bands.....this tried to be done before with another youtube page getmusicbacktv but they were very biased and ultimately the movement failed. this time we will accept from all genres in order to get new bands signed

we except everything thats music...not mud

spread the word to make this possible!!

  • i swear all of the FUCKing guitar tabs on the internet for this song are wrong.

  • @Tropicsca Pretty sure he's just playing around with an Aminor scale. Most of the sound is in his rhythm and technique.

  • @dghansen85

Thats correct but you'll have to tune down a half step, almost everything of SRV is tuned down a half step.

  • @Tropicsca Hey man, if you look up "United We Tab Cold Shot" you can find a link to a 100% accurate tab for this tune, plus a vid of a dude doing a dead-on cover. Best tab i've seen yet for this song. Good luck man!

  • Definitely one of his best. Can't get enough of Ray Vaughan's tracks !

  • why did you have to leave us SRV. We are deprived of numerous jams and memories. RIP SRV

  • Stephen Ray Vaughan, R.I.P. 10/03/1954-08/27/1990 (Aged 35) :(

  • Steve did you really have to leave us?

  • @Indureiner What do you mean? It wasn't his fault for dying in a airplane crash..

  • I started listening to this song since yesterday. I've probably heard it about 60-80 times so far. It's still as awesome as it was the 1st time.

  • wait, the original is only 3 and half minutes long? well, that's pretty cool that they extend it to like, 7 minutes for the live version.

  • SRV

  • SRV is my hero! Long live the blues!

  • Absolutely awesome ! Used to cover this in a 3 piece blues band. loved playing it ! And thats from a bass player ! 8o)

  • @EnglishBass Well in alot of old school rhythmn & blues & jazz songs bass guitar actually has alot more technique & riffs involved with it whereas in metal & other rock songs its just usually a repetitive riff or if ur lucky a bass solo part so I would have 2 agree with u these songs r usually more challenging or tricky 2 play with a bass which makes blues songs fun 2 learn.

  • Da Best..Sorry I never got to see him live...

  • The best jam song ever.

  • Badass man!

  • so im sitting here day dreaming about pounding this song and driving a hot black 2012 mustang through the streets as my hot as hell girl sits all sexy in the passenger seat rubbin on my leg forcing me to drop the hammer and make that machine purr down the streets of heaven.
