C.S. Lewis specifically said that The Chronicles of Narnia is NOT an allegory for the Bible. There are simply relations and inspirations from the Bible. The only thing that Lewis stated was an allegory in Narnia was when Aslan said, "In your world I have another name." The only definite connection Lewis made between Narnia and the Bible was the Aslan represented Jesus.

And he was mocked at the cross or in this case the stone table, and didn't raise a hand/paw he could've just killed all the bad guys and be done but he didn't. He could've backed down but he didn't. Also Susan and Lucy were like Mary and I think Martha cause they were there crying. The White Witch is obviously Satan. She THOUGHT she would win but she didn't. She got eaten, Satan just lost.

@AllyandAnt He HAD to die to save edmund for his sin. Aslan was meant to be representative of Jesus Christ, who had to die so that the barrier between us and God could be removed. It wasn't that Aslan (or Jesus) couldn't have saved themselves, but they died for us, in our place, to pay an sin debt that WE simply can't.
Because he was too proud and honourable to do that. the white witch knew this hence why she entered aslan's camp at all and why she planned to still kill edmund. joke was on her though.

@Taehc Uhhh How about The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. She was nice in that.. But don't judge too harshly.. I tend to get cast in "bad guy" roles in my school theatre so it's not really about character as about talent.
The only thing that bothers me about this and the following scene is that the real life Aslan did not have to make a bargain with the Witch. The issue of blood and the deep magic was a requirement of the Father. The devil was way to small of a player to require anything of the Son or the Father.
@rlwaldrop "Wages of sin is death", rlwaldrop. The devil cannot require anything of God, but sin does demand payment. and in this case, Jesus paid that payment.
Is Aslan supposed to be God or Jesus? My guess is Jesus, y'know the table, but the talk about him being there before but not know sounds how the Jews felt under the Roman empire.

Merry Christmas everybody! Remember Christ in CHRISTmas...He is the true and most important gift in the Christmas holiday! Who needs Santa's gifts when the most greatest gift has already been given? :D (btw, Kelavanti, it wasn't SOMETHING that changed C.S. Lewis' mind, it was the Holy Spirit!)

@AllyandAnt He HAD to die to save edmund for his sin. Aslan was meant to be representative of Jesus Christ, who had to die so that the barrier between us and God could be removed. It wasn't that Aslan (or Jesus) couldn't have saved themselves, but they died for us, in our place, to pay an sin debt that WE simply can't.

@Taehc Uhhh How about The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. She was nice in that.. But don't judge too harshly.. I tend to get cast in "bad guy" roles in my school theatre so it's not really about character as about talent.

The only thing that bothers me about this and the following scene is that the real life Aslan did not have to make a bargain with the Witch. The issue of blood and the deep magic was a requirement of the Father. The devil was way to small of a player to require anything of the Son or the Father.
