Hey everyone, our recently launched music blog has a post about late-era Talk Talk we’re trying to get out there and hope you might enjoy. Just search SongStacks on Twitter.
TT, my all time favorite!! En met het verstrijken van de jaren... wordt het gemis aan nieuw werk van TT alleen maar groter....
Loved the song, and the great video. Many thanks. Yes Mark is a legend and genius, and like many others I'd love to see him making music again. But it's not going to happen. By the time he wrote this he was so much into the idea of the space between notes (and yes I know how up myself that sounds!!) that complete silence was the only way to go. Listen to Piano on Missing Pieces and you'll see what I mean.
Thank you so much ghostsonatasong for posting this beautiful song. Please Mark....come back. What happened ?...Your creative genuis is certainly missed by so many people and it's those of us who support you that need you to understand just how much your missed!
One day, I'm going to take a boat out from Blakeney Point in Norfolk and sit and listen to this on my headphones as the boat drifts on the waves. The best things in life are definitely free.
thanks for uploading this from an amazing album. Mark is a legend and a genius in music.. funny thing is, apparently he is quite arrogant - especially in the interviews I've seen him in. Think he was also a big influence on the current Shoegaze scene with artists like Tears Run Rings, July Skies, Steve Adey, Helios, Northerner - to name but a few. Please check them out if you haven't already !!!
A sad loss knowing Mark no longer wants to be part of the commercial recording industry. Understandable, considering how vacuous it is now. If only he would continue and release work via his own web site. I would support him as I'm sure everyone who's made comments would as well. We need more Artists like him!
Took me back to a place called Sunswept boulevard in Los Angeles. marks music has been an inspiration to myself and a few close friends. One died last year and talk Talk was the music played at his wake. Wake of course turned into a disco in a Celtic supporters club in Irvine Scotland. Me being a rangers man just went with the flow. Thanks Mark for everything.

I recently I have been without a job for almost 6 months and as I had found a new one I celebrated with a big buying.
Laughing Stock
Spirit of Eden
Mark Hollis
Why? I don't know.
As David Sylvian said there is always sunshine
Above the grey sky.

No mistake (?!) what do you mean :)
I like the effects with this soulful music...
around 4:00 especially and then 4:45 - slow erasure visuals 5*

There they are - together again
the dead with the failed marriages -
between the folds of music
you can almost hear them sigh...
