@AuskaNeumaki i believe you. the sound novel for higurashi was a thouusand times bettter than its anime adaption (not that it as bad, it as great actually) , so im sure the same goes for umineko. the animes actually not that bad though.

@Cobaltwire The anime is just way too confusing and they just skips some parts wich are really important, like Tea Parties, those craps are less than 5 minutes long in the anime in the Novel they are FULL of information and all parties are at least 20 mins long :/ or do you remember when Belz and Battler are fighting for Ronove's food? well that wasnt like that, Beato was suposed to go where battler was and greet him with some confetti and stuff, but Deen is an asshole and deleted that :'<

@latiaos11 agreed, the visual novels had so much more content. it was filled with actually entertaining fillers, important lines, description, yasu foreshadowing, awesome fights, romantic scenes and etc. the anime missed out on all the good & meaningful stuff, including character development. and yes, fillers in my opinion, were very entertaining in the visual novel. also, the tea parties were cut down in quality not to mention.

Though I will admit it missed a lot of the humor and it focused a bit too much on Ange, but in hindsight may have been a good move. You want a bad anime adaption of a novel watch Zero no Tsukaima, makes the Umineko anime look like a Rembrandt.
