I beg to differ. My favorite guitarist is Mark Knopfler, but I will not lie when I say Joe Satriani is the best guitarist in the world. He can do anything.. and all he does is guitar solos. Eric Clapton has 1 solo for every twenty this guy has. Santana, Page, Beck, Vaughn - Satch rocks them all.
