Very cool. My biggest nit to pick is how the locus of the focus is so easily acquired. Specifically, people have their volume up, which causes them to gain focus (while watching, not talking) whenever someone joins the hangout or breathe too loud.
There should be an etiquette guide for hangouts! Props to Cam for trying to regulate the feedback/echo .
