in my opinion i think the creators were just showing how kids think in church. since church is pretty long, no kid wants to just sit down and listen to grown ups talk, so i think that the creators were just showing that kids get bored in church, because there is nothing for them to do so they just use their imagination... not that arnold is an atheist.
I think this is extremely creative. No wonder Hey Arnold turned out as good as it did. It's nice that it had a religious theme because in the show Arnold never goes to church, the only religion spoken of his that Harold is Jewish.

I kind of like them even better than Hey Arnold, although I loved the early episodes of that show. Craig Bartlett is brilliant for dreaming this up.
