I'm right there with you-I absolutely adore Hopes and Fears! The progressive sound is great, but I also miss the piano without tons of synth effects, and the same for the drums and Tom's singing.
all the songs release are great and eventually you'll change your mind once you hear the whole album time after time... It's a different sound but that's what you can expect from KEANE, they dont want to make the same thing over and over again. That's not being creative and original. So relax and enjoy the new songs..and let the songs put you in the state of KEANEMANIA..

If this is brilliant? Then it lowers the bar for mediocrity... The lyrics? Depressing. The music? Sarah Mclachlan almost note for note for note, Keane should never have produced this album themselves, big mistake artistically, but I am guessing this was the backlash of the UTIS sessions that were not happy. I am already looking forward to album #4, this cannot be it for Keane. Sorry.
