Did they actually believe that Henry VIII - HENRYVIII - would say, "Gosh, you're right and I'm wrong. Ooopsie. I'll just give up some of my power."

The guy had already broken from the Pope and set himself up as head of the Church to get rid of one infertile wife and murdered another (along with several innocent men) just to get what he wanted.
