  • Does anyone know how to get the orchestra accompaniment to this? like the publisher or anything?

  • Very false!

  • your intonation is bit off.

But....i love your style and musicality. you have great ability and potential. not an easy movt but you did a great job under pressure.

    Bravo !!!!!!!!!!!

  • my teacher gave me some really good advice that i think happens with EVERYONE who plays it. he said something like when we try to play it fast it sounds like we're going down a rough and fast river.. we have no control of what's going on.. just going really fast. very good tone though! same problem that i have haha

  • CADENZA OWNED

  • Omg.. need to pratice more.. but you're not bad.. only more time of diary study :D Sorry for the awfull english ^~

  • if you are gonna play a song of this difficulty, you should really figure the fingerings out on yourself. Sorry if this sounded offensive but I am being frank.

  • for viola?

or for any of the other instruments that this has been transposed for?

cuz i play cello and piano so if it was one of those i could help you

  • which part?

  • I'm playing this too!

You're so lucky to have an orchestra accompany you! haha im so jealous! :(

great job! how did you get those first measures in tune? incredible

  • They WEREN'T in tune, what were you thinking?

  • I could have the orchestra accompany, but I can`t find the score...

Does anyone know how can I find it?

  • Rwar, I could never find the full Orch. accompinment for this piece when I had my Senior Solo...so I had to play with piano. Which wasn't bad...but playing with an Orch is so much better!

Are you still practicing this? I know I practiced it for about 2 yrs straight cuz I played it for a State Solo stuff and then for Senior Solo...I still can pick up the viola and rock it out :D Love this piece, and you played it very well. :]

  • very nicely done

but the pitches are slightly off

  • wow good job

i guess you're so lucky by playing this accompanied by an orchestra, i have to conform to be accompanied by just a piano on mi final exam for this semester.

And you're right, the first measures of this mov. are the hardest.

    Salutes to you!

  • probably about a year of practice on those first measures. not exaggerating.

  • Great job! ^-^ i'm getting ready to play this in...[[i wanna say]]...May for a semester final at school ..i'm pretty excited about it.. =] i hope my preformance of it is just as good as urs was. it gave me some good ideas to better mine up :D

  • good job on this piece...but the intonation couldve been better now i know you were nervous but it happens to all of us and without messups there wouldnt be any fun in it...keep on playing and i would love to see another recording of a more recent performance on this piece

  • Wow I would love to do this with my orchestra. I have the solo part, and piano parts are easy to get, but how did you get the orchestral part? I've haven't even been able to find a way to buy one.

  • haha, good luck. My conductor had to rent them from somewhere..

  • I downloaded this video and made a DVD with viola works. I hope you don t mind. I think it s a nice performance. Greetings from Argentina.

  • Bravissimo!! Very passionate.

  • hola se que a lo mejor lo tocas bien pero como me ha pasado supongo los nervios te traicionaron no te preocupes somos humanos ninguno es perfecto

  • I played this piece a couple of years ago in a recital, so I know how hard it is to perform. The intonation could have been better, but nevertheless, congratulations for getting through it!

  • I have to be honest, I knew this piece by heart, I could play it with my eyes closed and thinking about totally different things. I had it this way for like a year before this performance. BUT, I walked out on stage, lost my focus because I looked out into the audience then played the opening and messed up. I couldn't jump back in so the conductor stopped everybody and we started over. So this is take 2, with a slightly shaken soloist.

  • slightly shaken!??! i'd have just run off stage...congrats for getting through it after all that. i'm actually playing this piece for allstate auditions this year, and it's nice to hear others' interpretations of it =) good job

  • haha i played this when i was in 10th grade :D very nice.

  • this is very out of tune

  • on the cadenza it was off...but i love the high octave violin part bc it makes the piece motre dramatic sounding!

  • its a YOUTH orchestra.. but yes. you are right.

  • holy shit!! INTENSE!! I only know this song on the cello

  • it was originally written for viola

  • wow, thats something you dont hear very often... there should be more viola music

  • Holy shit. Bravo!

  • Well Played!
