Whats so incredible about the Quran and this Surah is that every time you read it you learn something from it. It has so much weight on the educated and non educated alike because the messages are universal.

We may think we are smart, just towards others and work hard for what we have but in reality we are nothing without Allah (swt) and to Him we shall return.

La ilaha illalahu muhammadur rasoolullah.

Ma'sha'allah, this is such a beautiful recitation. Ever since I listened to Salah Bukhatir recited Surat Maryam, I am hooked to his voice! The ayat referring to our Book of Deeds are especially moving. May Allah (swt) Save us from the Hellfire! Ameen!

yes he has a nice voice mashallah...but to point out..he seems to have been unable to have long breath, from the way he is reading..the همزة الممدودة ... long *hamza* on أ ..he didnt increase the length of it...u can see the difference with Ahmad Al Ajmi and him. on the same AYAH...try it out and ull know...and read the quran while listening and u will see ;)

I think you may be talking about "mud al muttasil" and "mud al munfasil". However, more importantly this style is allowed. This is the same style used by Sheikh Sudais, Sheikh Shuraim and many other imams, especially during ramadan, since they aim to finish the quran more quickly.

The Last Prophet (PBUH) said: "Verily the one who recites the Qur'an beautifully, smoothly, and precisely, he will be in the company of the noble and obedient angels. @qamarrossini He is not going fast. Arabic has many words that mean a lot of things so when u translate them into English it will become way longer. Look at the Fatiha, it's only 27 words in Arabic but around 50 in English ....

Salam. i honestly think this is the best way for a non arabic speaking person to read the translations. they get to read + taste the sweetness of the arabic recitation. that may lead them to want to learn arabic and get the experiance 1st hand. Inshaallah!

in 4:13 what did they mean that shaytan/iblis was a jinn?

Allah had ask all the angels to bow before his creation adam who was made from clay. Every angel bowed except satan/iblis/jin (same person), and when Allah had asked why did he not bow he replied "you made him from clay and you made me from fire" he felt he was a greater creation and should not bow to the inferior and the inferior should bow to him. He was punished for this of course

Shaytan was made from fire hence making him a Jinn. They all have free will, they eat, drink and sleep, and they can die. However they have abilities and the more powerful ones a known as Ifreet(Ifrit/Afreet/however it is spelled).

Iblis was a very pious Jinn soo much that he would be in the accompany of the angels, but when Allah (SWT) commanded the Angels and Iblis to prostrate before Adam, Iblis was arrogant and said I'm am greater then Adam and didn't prostrate.
