You are trying a Highland dialect which is quite tough. Try a Glasgow accent, much easier, just over pronounce your vowels and especially the letter R. Listen to a dog growling for inspiration. You should post a vid challenging Scottish people to say "purple burgalar alarm" ten times, believe you me its difficult, especially when you have had a few.
