I live in Hugo Oklahoma, just 10 minutes north of Texas. We saw two big storms in one week. We had close to a foot in one week, one that Monday night, and another that Thursday. The Thursday storm stayed on the ground till that Saturday. It was beautiful, and odd for March. We saw more snow then we saw in 2 mild years. Yes, snow is typical in Texoma, just not that much in March. This was a year after an April snow shower in 2007. Where did Spring go?
For everyone who is not from Dallas, TX and makes fun of us about this...we don't usually have "snow". We get ice storms and an average of 2-3 inches of snow a YEAR. This storm was as much as 9 inches in some places all at ONCE. We deal with the Heat, but are amazed to see the snow, especially on March 6!
I'm sure your kid(s) were psyched ... my kids and I were going to drive up to North Louisiana from the Lafayette area to catch some snow ... btw, you know what's funny? Every car in your video ... was a minivan. You obviously live in the suburbs.
McKinney is known, far and wide, as a "bedroom" community. Lots of so-called "soccer moms" live up out here. Just for the record, my wife and I have a truck (hers) and a car (his).
