  • This system suffers from latency as computer software?

  • Damn it!!! its the IRON MAN!!!!

  • okay so i just did my first recording and am wondering how i turn them into wav files they are .001s on my computer.

  • What kind of mics shoild i use for this thing

  • I believe this is the number 43.000 views of this video from a Youtuber.

    Lets try Tascam products.

I love any simple recording studio in someone's pocket always.

    Great review.

    Thanks.

  • THAT IS NOT ROBERT DOWNY JR THAT IS MY DAD JOHNNY DELEON GET UR FACTS RIGHT!!!

  • Robert Downey Jr. ????

  • Does it have Equalizer for the tracks??? Like reverb ??? Thanks.

  • yes the software on it could be simpler. I find its hard to get your head round the wave programming and such, and then making it into a file transferable to the computer, as we say in the UK it's a bit of a faff, so cmon Tascam simpler software!

  • @PhobiaGuy its actually easy, if u look at the manual

  • @guitargeek1122 OMG why didn't i think of that, thats where i went wrong, trying to figure it out by guessing!

  • OMG look its iron man!!!!!! HAHA

  • @darkface1530 he even sounds like him lol

  • does this come with computer software?

  • @GreystoneGang No, but you can download Audacity. It's free, it good, it's what i use.

  • this thing is as simple as it gets

  • Iron man, Iron man does whatever iron can or is that spider man

  • i like it ,but the manual is soooo complicated

took me 4ever to figure out the "recording"

  • @hereinthebronx dude I STILL haven't figured it out. I mean, just got it today, but it's a lot more complicated than I expected.

  • @Alexandrophile i havnt had too much time for it latly, but i personally think it's a pain in the ass!

  • Does it have automatic gain build? If it does, is there a way to turn it off?

  • ok how do you you get the songs onto your somputer as an mp3 or a playable file because all it gives me is some .001 filewhich idk what the fuck that is

  • @Flawrey *computer

  • lol its not 99 bucks its 149

  • oh my goodness. I'm going to assume that was completely unintentional.

  • The mics are on the wrong side...if you want to use them to record something you have to turn it arround to aim them in the correct direction...so the controls and the readouts are upside down...the 8 input one is great though...with this you might as well just have a Zoom H2.

  • I got one

it works well BUT be carefull how you shut it down I recorded 2 of my Bands Gigs and lost them both because I didnt shut it down correctly

also Still cant get it to interface with Computer

So I am just using the Headphone/Line out to transfer to puter Rating 7 out of 10 NEEDS BACKLITE

  • I used the tascam 414 analog for a year......Just ot this DP-004 Today and have tried EVERYTHING to simply record a track & its Tooo confusing. How do I record one single track step by step would sure help a LOT, plz, anyone? just get me started how to just record 1 track plz. Step by step if at all possible.

  • wtf!!? is that tony stark?

  • lol! he does look like Tony Stark. Hey if you or anyone else have any sites and tips or tricks for the Roland SP-808 Groove Sampler and the Roland-Boss DR-5 drum machine post up some more vids or comments. There aren't enough on YouTube. Thanks

  • @thenewbamsong7 my thoughts exactly :) (but you beat me to it :( )

  • @thenewbamsong7

    haha

    NEW FROM STARK INDUSTRIES!

  • Bought it the other day and its awesome :) The guy talking looks horrifically like Tony Stark though o_o

  • Just wanted to know if there is any way to import a backing track mp3 file from a computer to this thing...If its possible I have no idea how

  • just record it as one of the tracks. you can just use the built in mics or do direct.

  • Don't buy this product. I got it 2 days. The electric guitar recording not working and the Tuner is not working either. I thought my guitars are broken. I tried to fix and it ends up I broke my guitar battery holder and the output jack

This video is more like ads. Those salemen you know them!

At first I am very impressed, now it ended up so disappointed!

  • i bought this and i was wondering about sound quality. if i were to put two amps (one for guitar, one for singing) and basically just play and sing my song, how would the quality be compared to plugging in and recording seperately?

Second question, how can i add drum loops to the recording?

  • How is this for recording vocals? Can you upload a CD music track on this device and sing over it? I hear that this device has mastering and mixing capabilities as well. If that's the case, then I will never enter a recording studio ever again and I can do m own recordings without having to book any studio time. If anyone knows, please fire off a reply to me! Thanks

  • ... try both ways and see... if you just use one mic for the guitar and vocals you'll have a single track mono recording... or if you use 2 mics, one per track, you'll have a stereo recording of both sources with some sound separation of vocals and guitar depending on placement of mics... may be better to record each sound source separately... you can the mix/pan each signal which is where the real fun starts with these machines... I have a Zoom mrs4 that is similar... hope this helps.

  • I've had this for about a month now and i have to say it has really impressed me especially for its size. thanks.

  • can i connect a drum machine like the boss dr 3 in the input at the back? and will it be stereo?

  • I have the TASCAM 4 track Analog w/cassette & it does good but sometimes you can hear tape hiss ..For those that have used this Digital one ......Hows the final sound quality??? and I have Yet to learn the Pan,Bounce stuff. Wish someone would do a vid stricly on Panning in detail. Panning so confuses me.

  • I bought this thing last january, with power supply. records well but i can't seem to find a way to get the files (not the separate tracks) to my computer. this guy says either wav or mp3. does anyone know a site or forum where i can find information? i read the manual front to back and again ...

  • any1 ever get a "Mount error 01 shut off power now" message. it happened when I tried to format my 4gb transcend SD card.

i followed the instructions in the manual on page. 11-12 how it said & still got the error message

  • Comment removed

  • very nice ,but the lack of LCD backlight is rather stupid....

then they say that it's 'to conserve battery power'. Make it switchable! People would rather get that and spend 20 bucks more!

  • how can I record drums???

Does it come with built in microphone???

  • yep is has two of them, very nice ones for good stereo recordings. Pretty nice and simple device, no flashy things, straight up good recorder and most important it has memory card slot, standard double AA batteries for easy replacement, and it records TWO TRACKS simultaneously, not only with the built in MIC's but two 1/4" standard music inputs. The others dont have that unfortunatley even though many have more features

  • at 1:20 he says "mp3". wrong!!!

  • is it only wav then?

  • I had one issue when I record the volume going into the unit is loud, but after it master records it's lower when you master play the song. I didn't notice it much until I after a CD and the volume was low. Then I have experimented a few times, each time getting a little better. If any one has any suggestions I woiuld appreciate it.

  • Does it have a headphone jack, and if so, can you moniter yourselve while you record like in a studio>

  • You can buy a power supply for a sony psp. got mine for 15 bones works fine!!!

  • seems pretty straight forward. i might purchase one. i dont like the fact of the double A batteries though. they make it seem cheap. and batteries are a pain

  • it looks like there's a jack for a power adapter next to the usb port

  • It does allow for an AC power adapter, but it is not included.

  • Recording is crystal clear.

  • how well does it record drums?

  • Ok, it worked for us sorta by putting it closer to the guitar amps and pretty far away from the drums, it sounded great for us.

  • awsome thanks. just what i wanted to hear.

  • 5vdc input. batteries will always make for cleaner recording.
