hiya im thinking of building my own pc i have relitivly good nowlage with computers and im planning on using a instruction book on how to build computers if any ones board i would be thankfull if anyone could
1. get a list of cheap(ish) components i would need that would be good and not to expensive
2. and that if a xclio a380 tower case would fit with the mother board recomended
Don't listen to the idiots, that was a good amount of thermal paste. The artic silver 5 instructions tell you to put about that much in a straight line, because the heat will distribute it.
whats the point of the wristband? so you dont shock anything? ah well i guess 5 dollars dosent really matter just to be extra sure. You could just touch somthin metal though.
people dont worry about static, like at all obviously touch something metal, the case or a metal table leg w/e and your fine thats it dont bother wasting money on static wrist straps like seriously....
why is everybody so worried about static! i've done so many computer builds without using any static protection. there are slight chances that you can stuff up the components but not that big of a deal, and mikenogo put the cpu on the ground with the plastic thing on anyway.
Anyway mikenogo thats a sweet build, exactly what mine was gonna be like (except different motherboard)
He is right, if you got a bit of dust on the bottom of CPU, it might not work right, but in your case it still worked. Bit counter productive if you worry about static SO much, yet you do not use simple common sense to keep your items safe
hey dude where did you get your Antec P182 case at for $100!!! please tell me cuz that would really help me out haha. everywhere i've checked it's more than $150. Newegg doesn't sell it:(
omg! thats how i spread the compound as well. except i take a plastic grocery bag and stretch off a piece on my finger so that it doesnt move around when spreading...
cuz i didn't need to, who cares about the way I install thermal paste, its nothing much to worry about, the only thing i personally think that you would need to use card for is arctic silver because that is some serious shit.

i never need a eletric wrist strap. Why as touching ur case while ur PSU is plugged in grounded it. BUT USA dont have earth pins on the plug sockets.

why you put your computer together at the floor, static electrisity ?
garfish111 3 years ago
well its a wood floor so it dosen't work with static or watever

You can remove the plastic-cage, containing the fan at the buttom of your case, if you need more space for your power-supply =)
