  • I always liked the fact that she was more womanly than your typical gymnast. It's called 'women's gymnastics' but alot of them look like little kids

  • her hip movements are great, she is a very sexy gymnast and is displaying it.

  • must be the sexiest gymnast of her time.

  • her movement is great to watch.what a beauty?

  • I love the way at the end Mitch Fenner describes her chereography as 'fascinating' lol

  • I don't really follow the sport, but I used to watch her routines cuz I had a HUGE crush on her in my teens. Think I still do now that I've seen her for the first time in 10 year.

  • It's nice to see a women perform. Gymnastics now is more a girls gymnastic than a women gymnastic. That isn't a problem but it's called ARTISTIC gymnastics and some seem to forget that. But it's just nice to see a mature gymnast doing a wonderful routine. Boguinskaya is a great gymnast. Her floor routines are always dramatic.

  • @MrsShazziePepper1996 yes that is true..she was great..only if she didn't go out of bounds and stick those vaults she would have done great in the AA

  • @mrpatriot83 did the '93-'96 code have a deduction differentiation if one or both feet stepped or landed out? I just can't recall if that was an issue in that code

  • @kras118 2 feet two tenths I believe...makes sense because she would have received a 9.6 for her score

  • she is the choreographer at my gym :) i go to stars gymnastics

  • She really had a spark in 1996. Maybe her gymnastics wasn't as effortless or consistent as when she was younger, but in 1996 she looked like she was happy and enjoyed being out there competing.

  • @uwoeric Thats exactly what I was thinking, she looks far happier here than in her earlier career - perhaps due to moving to America?

  • la plus belle femme de la gymnastique, son physique est la plus belle chose crée depuis l,invention de la roue!!

  • what's the name of the music?

  • lol. I didn't find it spazzy. But to each their own. This is one of my favorite FX's ever.

  • BEAUTIFUL!

  • I thought she was underscored during the 96 Olympics. Even with the out of bounds on this routine I think should have been 9.7 not 9.6

  • @boytoyville where are the deductions??

  • fantastic music! what an incredible woman belarus had.

  • VERY rarely will you ever see a pair of eyes that are as sharp and as penetrating as Svetlana´s.

    A fascinating woman to watch.

  • I'm a waiter in a london restaurant who had the plessure to serve her in the worldchampionships this year

  • @luisenrod Cool

  • very elegant. does anyone happen to know the first song?

  • nevermind. It's melodie d'amour ha

  • She is SO nice! I met her when she came to our gym to teach us skills for a week at gymnastics camp. She is so nice, and really helped me out! She taught me how to really extend my leaps on beam, and taught us some cool warm-ups that look very much like some of her dances on floor!

  • sevetlana is so amazing.....she's like a beast and sooo good at floor. this is someone with awsome talent...she is so good making up floor ruietns ( she made mine!)

  • Hey, she's IVY from Soul Calibur II!

  • Amazing, I think she overdone it during all the traning sessions. I honestly think she would have been in position to win a medal in the AA if she didn't step out of bounds

  • The Belarussian Swan - She was a woman among girls.

  • I thought some of this choreography was a bit spazzy to be honest !!!

  • Finally, someone else agrees with me.

  • @MunchTheSilivasFan I agree too, she should have stuck with the classical style, it worked for her, this was just awkward to watch.

  • @lenr112

I agree, that dance move at 1:39 is really cheesy to watch. I've met her at gymnastics camp and I really just wanna go up to her and be like WHAT WERE YOU THINKING?

  • @lenr112 It is pretty typical for her style of choreography.

  • Only Boginskaya could pull this off, the music and the choreography would never be this elegent and beautiful without her.

  • Well put! She wasn't called Goddess for nothing!

  • @TsubasaDreams I agree completely. Watching someone like Wieber, Johnson, or Peszek trying to pull this off would be such a joke. I actually used to believe this choreography was a bit flaily as well as some others but not I totally adore it!

  • @ShawnVikaKomova2012 She's also in her 20s. An adult. You can't even compare this to those aforementioned gymnasts because if someone like Weiber tried to pull this off, it would border on inappropriate.

  • @jojo1802 Not at all. They all wear leotards and they don't get "exceptions" for age. Semenova had a very mature routine in 2009 and it wasn't in any way "inappropriate". Not to mention the fact that Johnson and Peszek are now 19 and 20 respectively... Johnson will be 20 within a month.

  • @ShawnVikaKomova2012 I love Wieber Peszek and especially Shawn but I couldn't help laughing very hard when I imagined them doing a routine like that. It would look absolutely rediculous

  • Beautiful first tumbling line. Stuck and presented beautifully!

  • BBC's coverage is simply the best! And Boginskaya is awesome!
