I have one of the Special Edition Graphite Clamshells and I love it, I have updated it to Tiger and runs great for how old it is. I did not know that there were 3 different "generations" o clamshells, i thought that there were only two. Thanks for informing me!

I do not actually sell these anymore and left the video here purely for informational purposes since people seem to find the video by searching through google and youtube.

@wutzerface77 - I don't work on them anymore because the cost of upgrading one means I have to sell it for at least $250 dollars, just to cover my costs. Unfortunately, few people are willing to pay that much being I can sell a fully upgraded iBook G4 for the less than that, which is a far more capable machine.

Thanks so much for this info. You have helped me learn a lot in a short amount of time. I just got a Clamshell iBook 466MHz SE Graphite . What a super cool laptop. Jony Ive is an amazing artist. Such unique features; two tone colors, clamshell shape, super tough plastic housing double shod with rubber, designed to stand on end, a handle, yeah, a handle like a briefcase. Even the power supply "brick" is unique and very cool looking. 11 Years old and still can do most modern task. Amazing.

@shomosnicholas5, You can find them on ebay. Usually under $200 for a decent one. If you want an expertly restored one look up "odds-n-ends4you" on ebay. His cost more but there as good as they get. I bought one of his and I'm very happy. Too bad David doesn't refurb and sell them anymore. Get a 466MHz if u can. There the fastest of the clamshells.

this is only useful if you like retro electronics and are for example a writer, who wouldn't have the need for more than a writing application... so, fail fail fail

@RichieRich1986 - The target buyers of these computers are typically those who like retro computers, but they are useful for more than just writing. For example, you can do email and play a good amount of older games on one.

@dontouchmybubble Not really. If you have a 466 Mhz Clamshell, max out the ram, and install Camino. You MIGHT be able to play youtube videos in 240p. Facebook is possible as long as you don't play any of the flash games on there.
