  • This aria is stylistically very close to some of Mephistopheles' music from the popular "Faust." Very enjoyable. It's a pity that the only complete recording in fairly good sound of Philemon et Baucis was deleted after just a short stay in the catalogue.

    I like the contributor's imaginative use of visuals to accompany the excerpts he provides on the site.
