  • VideoMaker Uploaded a Video Making Tutorial Video with 240 Lines of Resolution...

  • The voice over turns into Christopher Walken at 00:55

  • man...that's some corny ass fake looking camera shake...no offence

  • @lexdimond1 True, it could probably be done smoother with some added effort, but we're just demonstrating the possibility.

    Cheers,

    The Videomaker Team

  • I used the ''.psd'' (castle modified in photoshop) file and linked it to my null object, but the .psd image is not a smooth render like yours, it is shaky. Can you help me? i want is to be fix to the back ground, now it move and it isn't realistic at all.

I have 2 nul objets linked, the one linked on the second and the .psd linked to the first.

  • the shake isn't realistic

  • Urmm iin the first bit of the "Lord of the Rings" example with the 3 horses. That is a REAL location/set. So look it up! ;)

  • Urmm in that Lord of the Rings scene, that is a REAL location, look it up :)

  • I like it!! This is THE way to build a complete set with no budget!

    Thanks for sharing!

  • dose the final cut pro be able to do or Inserting Backgrounds in Sets? Please let me know. Thanks

  • amazing, now I can make my own comercials as freelance

  • e! im trying that! 0_0

  • @ClintWRea Wow...at least he took the time and energy to give a free tutorial on how to do this all. More commendable and appreciated than your snarky critique, don't you think?

  • nice camera

  • What cameras were u guys using ( The one on the tripod). I am trying to find a realy good camera with good quality for a good price. I am a young video maker but i do alot of chase scenes ect aswell as web shows outdoors. any Help?

  • oops, forgot to say pls. :P

  • a simple way to add a realistic camera shakeis to film something else without a tripod, track the motion in after effects (the track data goes onto a null object that we created earlier) and parent the actual still video to the track data.

  • can u do this with adobe premirere elements 8?

  • @Samtheman316

You need After Effects or something like it to track an inserted background graphic in a pan or tilt shot (regardless of what editing program you have). The first part of this tutorial (up until 2.16) you should be able to achieve in Premiere Element. Good luck!

  • @videomaker thank you!!!

  • Wich program work you now?!

  • Thanks for this. Very cool tut.

Does anyone know how to do this in vegas?

  • coolness!! but ino its not that easy to make one~ :( but ill try!! XD thanks!!

  • oooo sweet i wonder how you do that on sony vegas

  • @MusicBySav Until someone proves me wrong, I guess using keyframes.

  • gross, why would you add camera shake in premiere? that looked like garbage.

  • Wow thanks for this, these are very helpfull videos!

  • BZL Productions, why don't you just download Premiere and After Effects? They can be found everywhere.

Also, the castle looks too small compared to the subject because it' too close. In the LOTR films, the miniatures were composited in a way that made the castles and structures look huge necause they were VERY FAR from the subjects.

  • 0:30

That is not actually a virtual set. It's a miniature.

I saw it in the making of-DVD.

  • Cool Video! I'm a BIG fan. I wish I would do that in my software:(

I accomplished somthing simmilar with Pinnicle Studio Ultimate and Microsoft Digital Image Suite.

  • this is great but old trick

  • it is great but can you post a video of how to de the after effects (step by step) please, I'm a newbie to after effects.

  • Video copilot made one

  • how would you go about doing this on final cut pro?

  • You need After Effects or something like it to track an inserted background graphic in a pan or tilt shot (regardless of what editing program you have). The first part of this tutorial (up until 2.16) is the same basic technique in FCP as it is in Premiere. Good luck!

  • @videomaker this is awesome is there a way to do this in final cut

  • this is cool is there any way to do this in final cut

  • @asherpink also you could just do keyframes

  • Amazing video!

To bad I don't have After Effects! :(

  • Same here... I subscribe to this magazine and this webcast, but they only show HIGH END software, I'm just a poor bastard tryin to do this on a budget. I have elements 7 and GIMP, can someone give me a free copy of AE?!?! LOL

  • I know how you feel. I'm trying to make an impossibly ambitious sci-fi short on a budget that would barely cover the cost of sandwiches from Tesco.....

  • Wow. Amazing. But eh.. what program is it? I have muted the audio.

  • The example is flawed. The castle seems too small and its too bright compared to the original video.

Andrew Kramer has a great example

  • how do you open the video frame thingy in photoshop to add in the castle?

  • wow!!!!!!!!!!! that is amazing!!!

  • wow...thats awesome!

  • AWESOME....!!!!!!

  • Awesome.

  • Vegas lets you use PSD (photoshop) files just like premiere. The only diference is that for motion tracking, you have to do it manually using keyframes.

  • Awesome! Nice and Informative

  • This was very informative & SO helpful. Thx for answering my questions!

  • Where can I get a same shirt that you have at 0:15?

  • now to get after effects

  • its really expensive. might wanna try ebay or something

  • Very nice. But Adobe After Effects costs alot :( so its not the cheapest way to do effects like that.

  • as long as u film on a tripod u can do it with sony vegas pro or final cut express/pro

idk if premiere has a masking system but there are ways

an ima bout to try them 2morrow

  • isnt that called set extention?

  • it is

  • great idea!

  • This was gr8 infor !

  • Wow I wish I could do tht but I don't have the editing software u have I have wmm LOL

  • im a big fan
