  • Interested see that but Khmers always forget everything when foreigners give them a small gift. I'll be more proud of Khmer if khmer architectures themselves make their own plans and build it up related to Khmer style or their new own style but I'm not proud to see any other style from foreigners of building in Khmer land especially Asian style itself. Because this is the only way that foreigners plan to build for their own future. Are u guys proud Korean building in Khmer land and when tourism

  • I love Cambodia, but why waste millions in building a new city when you could be trying to make the lives of cambodian people better, fueling richness and raising the standards of living.

  • Cambodia sure is stepping up! Cheers from vietnam

  • Only an unrealistic dream of this Never-Never Land. Unless the political regime changes then things will start to get much better at faster pace. Keep on dreaming people.

  • While Cambodia has experienced high economic growth and reduced poverty since the 2000s. A lot of cambodians still live on less than $2.00 a day. Too many men, women and children are still not benefitting from economic and social progress.

  • It's nice to see this development. cambodian capital is modernizing fast but, cambodia is way behind thailand, singapore and vietnam in development. combodia's economy is lagging ASEAN countries. "Cambodia’s per capita GDP of $830 is less than all other Asean countries except Burma’s $400, Singapore’s is $35,000; Thailand’s is $4,000; and Vietnam’s is $1,200".

  • It's so cool to see a city in the making. Usually all the cities now are well hundreds or thousands of years old. Cambodia you rock.

  • hey bro! can i use some part of this clip for my music video? i hope u don't mind na.......u did a great job! thank u!

  • I been watching this video for 2 years, since 2009, and now 2011. I need the update brother ! I saw many of those tower had been done ! Very nice and Awesome, Most of the bridge are cool too ! Damn CAmbodia, I love u the most !

  • seriously when?

  • What is this? . . .

  • I am grateful that the Koreans are building this city, but I am not proud because we are not building it ourselves.

I wish we were able to build and industralize ourselves instead of depending on somebody else for help.

  • @LastXdeth Who cares! It shows that the Koreans love our country! They could have built this in another country but they chose us! We need more Koreans in our country! Koreans/Khmer is the spirit!

  • @khmerpreah401 But what happen if a Korean War #2 occurs and messes up the Korean economy. Say good bye to our investors!

Our country's whole history is composed of foreign influence. We need to learn how to govern/manage/build our country ourselves. Remember "Khmer Nationalism?"

  • @LastXdeth That will never happen dude! Just because North attack South doesn't mean there's gonna be a war!

  • @LastXdeth Cambodia is better off being governed by a foreigner than a Cambodian until all corruption has been resolved after implementing a working education system, that way we can have an educated political party and have a proper election oppose to a family line of ex murderers.

  • ,........... Blessing to Cambodia

    Dreams are made.

Cambodia can prosper even as in South Korea.

    Take confidence.

We were very poor country, South Korea.

Cambodia is the origin of the developments in South Korea

    You can also baljeonhalsu.

    *^-------------------^*

  • @kikijang Thank you but we need more Korean projects in Cambodia! If Korean can make Phnom Penh turn into a little Seoul then that's good also lolz!

  • thanks Korean

  • I LOVE YOU KOREANS! I respect them the most! Coming from a Khmer race you will always be welcome to our country!

  • very interesting, but part of me feels like this will never do well. I hope that the country can become as advanced as this planned community but it seems too soon for something like this.

the government has to try to improve everything else in the country like health, infrastructure, education, and poverty.

this is definitely not the cambodia i saw back in 2001 lol

  • Have they built any of these yet??

  • @apsara98 They finish the first Phase already!! Did you even see the pictures?

  • @khmerpreah401 Lol, no how nice is it?

  • @apsara98 Really nice and beautiful! Thankx the Koreans:)

  • the next Koreantown in Phnom Penh:)))

  • @khmerpreah401 Proud of that!!

  • @phanith I am very very Proud! Now can we kick out the Youns out of our country ahahahaha!!

  • @khmerpreah401 depend on them, we cant do anything!!

  • @phanith Yes we can! Never say Never! If we become more patriotic and united we can achieve anything! First we have to get rid of the dictator Youn Puppet first!

  • @khmerpreah401 I hope so, but our govt is the their back what can i do.

  • @phanith We have to plan it out! Kill the government first and then install a real democratic leader who is also an anti-youn and things will be back to normal! Then build a wall on the border and shut down trade from them!

  • @khmerpreah401 lol, how do we kill the govt? anyway we have to dearing with it.

  • @phanith Did you see the new pictures from the first phase now!!! DANGGG.. it looks like it's acity in another country! This is only the first phase too!!

  • @khmerpreah401 Yeah, i did. I saw it on their website.

  • @phanith PP will beuild the tallest tower in South east asia! It's gonna be 555 meters tall! This will be taller than the Freedom Tower!

  • Yes... As soon as the Koreans start migrating down to Phnom Penh we will kick out the Chinese and the Vietnamese soon!

  • @khmerpreah401 now you want to suck the korean's dick? lol fucking pathetic twat.

  • all this construction mean jobs for cambodians. it would be amazing if this camko city goes as planned or at least 90% of it.

  • omg! some of the building are done. i wish everything done in the ten year.:)

  • this is pretty impressive. its just to bad too many people suffer from eviction to make way for this project. many people say its gonna b done by 2018... but lets be more accurate. look at all the infrastructures that makes up this project. its likely to take at least 15 yrs to finish all that. 8 years would be probably finish small portion of the comko city.

  • Must see video - check it out - what Phnom Penh, Cambodia will look like in the very near future. Enjoy!

  • Cambodia Move to a better Future

  • Beautiful!

  • Cambodia is a country in in the midst of rebuilding it self. Although there a lot of progress there are still a lot of poverty. Hopefully She will catch up to neighboring country Thailand in 15 to 20 Years.

Cambodian food is excellent. You should try it.

  • The cuisine is relatively unknown to the world compared to that of its neighbours Thailand and Vietnam.

  • really ??

    V

    V

  • The poor people who used to live in these districts were forced off there land. No compensation just get out or go under the wheels of the bulldozers. It scares me to think that the french revolution might revisit here.

  • ya know what? is not about korean or cambodia city, is about the place, is CAMBODIA COUNtry, is our country, so is not korean. fuck it ! God , why ya start aruge with the name of city.. ya not president. !!! just to know that we are cool !

  • well.... i think the name... is suppose to be Cambodia and Korean together.. CAM KO..

but its because korea is investing.. but i see your pointt... that is kinda truee... we just have to wait and see... since definitelyy people wouldnt help unless they want something in returnn..

  • Because "KO" cost more than $2 biilions

  • It's quite hard, isn't it?To get those point.

  • CAMBODIAKOREAN CITY ! ( CAMKO CITY )

KhMer Go KhMer !!! We rock !! Anyway, they fast, it just about like 3 years, they almost complete one side !

  • lol. so much pride!

im glad to see cambodians like this....

i hope all khmer are proud and will bring their knowledge back to our homee!

  • congratulation to cambodia people who have those luck to have stable politics and real democracy that will contribute your rapid development and bright future while Thailand is getting down hill because of those shit politics conflict and idiot government that we have now..

  • are you thai?

    just wondering..

  • thai, does mean that you should envy other countries, doesn't we? As, we are grown up in Buddhism country, should we be unhappy to see other growing !?! No wonder why you wear yellow having this kind of thought !!!

  • oh i was just wondering..

but i thought thai had a good government thats why youre country are very industrialize.

  • Not anymore their country is in trouble with political.

  • really?

    whats going on there?

i thought they are so uniting...

i need to catch up. :D

  • The Thaksin corruption, also they changed their prime master a lot, and the yeollow shrit(protester) and red shrit (protester) are fighting about this issue.

  • thais now have very idiot and no vision government which success the power from hidden power which is over thai people. they refuse people power and vote.. they have no vision but how they could corrupt as much as they can..

  • I'm thai of course, buddism and love to see others happy and move forward.. so where are you from... ?? I would be so sad to have other thais who have negative thinking toward others, look down on people and full of jealousy

  • khmer boy:wat the,the place change it use to be all rocky and have poor house.but now it cool.i wanna go there better than hawii.

  • omg cant wait til its done!

  • Anyway I hope this project would be of mutual benefits.

  • phanith, you said as if it's quite unfair to Cambodia. I don't agree with you. No company would do business there as long as lots of risks exist. In my perception, the Korean companies are doing very risky business. If these facilities are not sold, they must face tough financial challenges, their stakeholders are afraid of. Even so they decided to do it, expecting Cambodia would be as booming as Vietnam in the near future. If not, it's a big failure for them.

  • The three construction companies are GS, SK and Hanil. GS and SK are one of the biggest companies and are reliable, but Hanil is a mid-size company and this company was heavily affected by the global economy crisis, and even has the most basic problem to pay the workers.

Now Korean president is paying a visit there. He would settle the problem, since he had been an economic development advisor to Hunsen before he was elected as the Korean president.

  • This construction project is carried by three Korean construction companies, for the current Cambodian prime minister is favorable to Korean companies.

Anyway it was initiated in a good will of both parties, Korean companies were badly affected by the global economy crisis that has brought bad cash flow in their business. So some people say that the scale of the project would be rearranged smaller than it's originally conceived.

  • Bangkok or Saigon?! Thats like choosing between strangulation or a being in a car crash.

No way - Phnom Penh is beautiful and unique - and it should stay that way.

Check out pics and clips of how it looked in the 1960s, and you will be amazed. The city was magical, sublinely beautiful with wide freelined boulevards, striking new architecture (thanks to legend Vann Molyvann) and an abundance of pastel coloured buildings.

So a little bit of Paris and a bit of Greater Angkor is all u need

  • Okay so Phnom Penh is going under massive construction with lots of Sky Scraper Projects,

What type of ''look'' do you want Phnom Penh to look like?

    Bangkok or Saigon?

  • the former capital city of Cambodia...Angkor Wat.

  • So you want modern Phnom Penh, to look like Angkor Wat?

You make no sense bong ):

  • He meant he wants Phnom Penh to follow the layout of Angkor the former glorious city! Did you know that Angkor is the largest pre-industrialized city in the world!

  • lol... I know,

I was asking for ''look'' not ''layout''

  • Cambodia Had Many Captiols Like Lovek, Odong but angkor wat was not the capitol name it was somewhere near bayon

  • You know what I like about Camko city! They actually planned it out using the Angkor city as a model! Way to go lolz!

  • Woww Phnom penh look so futuristic i love it when i finish my college i'm going to go back to phnom penh my hometown.

  • I love the new design! Looks like they added more tall buildings!

  • when is it gunna be done ?

  • The project was dividing in 6 phases. The first phase is already complete around 90-95%. As u can see the first phase is a round 0:55 to 1:00 on the left side of this video.

  • Awesome video! Thanks for the upload Phanith!

  • Great graphic. I hope next time is the real one.

  • yes they are idiot they just finished the house section or phase already if you don't know anything dont say stupid thing ok.

  • i hope this new construction has some good benefits for the Cambodian people. they should have good job openings for the poor. its unbelievable how Cambodia is really rising in the future.

  • i feel the same. I hope it'll bring real benefits to them. I'm having high hopes.

  • yeah it should give better job opportunities since everything is going to be new and fresh.

  • Thats awesome! Im so proud that our country is developing!

  • Very nice, good job, ty.

    Merci
