  • This is simply SPECTACULAR, and it's the kind of thing that makes me totally impressed with all the unbelievable things that Engineering can do.

  • I'm a 6th grader who's learning about Latin America and we're focusing on the Panama Canal and this video REALLY helped. Thank you.

  • Awesome video! Thank you for posting.

  • Cruise ships get to go during the day, we usually have at least some night passage (and I did not manage to get a nice time lapse with that) but very, very cool video.

  • Oh fuck don't hit that boat!

  • Why use the lakes that are on higher ground instead of opening a corridor between the Pacific and the Atlantic with the same sea level ???

  • do you have games

  • the red tanker is more faster...i gues the tugboat pulling it...

  • Thanks for the upload. It brings back a lot of memories having been through the canal 7 times! Hard work but an experience that I have never forgotton.

  • thumbs up if you would stay on that helipad no matter how much it pissed down with rain!

  • This whole time I couldn't help but think, "OMG! The ship is going to hit the side of the lock!"

  • Wow! It was really fun to watch the ship go up and down in the locks. Did not know there was so many islands along the canal.

  • So cool.

  • final fantasy 7 yeahhh

  • HE DISFRUTADO CRUZAR EN DOS OCACIONES ESTE CANAL...1982 Y 1988...

  • 0:49.... creepy close

  • it is amazing...

built in 1880-1914 the Panama Canal cost $639,000,000

80,000 people helped construct it and 30,000 of them lost their lives

  • Very cool, what ship was this video on?

  • @coonhunta it took from 8am - 5pm

  • @radiofreebc just ⒷⒶⓁⓁⓈ ⓉⓄ ⓎⓄⓊ awsome

  • @radiofreebc 8am to 5pm? Damn.

  • @coonhunta around 5 hrs

  • This was awesome. We were there in December 2009 - but left the ship at Gatun Lake for an excursion - and didn't get to experience the Lake. Thanks.

  • Cool video! I have one question though... it's really stupid but oh well... at 0:29... why does the ship raise?

  • @eatabrownie it raise up to the level of gatun lake and then stays at that level all the way to the Pedro Miguel locks on the other side, where it goes back down to sea level (2 sets of locks).

  • Extremely interesting ! Thanks for this !

  • That was very cool, thanks. I've been to the Miraflores locks many times but never through the canal. That was a quick easy way to do it!

  • Nice =)

  • Thank you to everyone who watched the original. Enjoy the updated version in 720p! Be sure to rate and leave comments!
