The driver was turning left and when you make a sharp turn the back wheels have the momentum to keep going the direction it was going before. That is why the car flipped right.

If the passenger would have turned it right sooner the car would not have flipped.

Long story short, the driver is the retard and the passenger was fixing his error.

The real point here is that if your in a roll-over wearing your seat-belt, in a Volvo, your probably gonna survive. Also remember loose items like big camera's are a bad idea to be flying around in a crash, that driver was lucky not to be seriously injured by that alone, and luckily the Volvo is built to survive roof impacts. I think the mate only grabbed the wheel after it was going over to help hold him in the car. Probably stopped him being thrown about, we can't see if he has his belt on.

It was the drivers fault, by the looks of the skid he has rear wheel drive, he created the spin by turning the wheel to much to the right, and then turns the wheel to the left, then instead of turning the wheel into the skid he goes against the skid which especially in a pick up truck is ganna be messy! could be wrong though!

If you watch the video "CAREFULLY" you can see the passenger doesn't grab the wheel until it is already travelling sideways off the road, on the grass verge, in the moment before starting to roll over,he just uses it to hang on and brace himself. Wise move. Even the driver has the good sense to put his hands up to the roof and stop his head and neck from smashing into it. This appears to be the rsult of an evasive reaction to avoid a headon collision as i can see a car go past close opposite way
