wow thats awesome kids need to know its not cool to drink as a minor one of the things about drinking. Is the reason you drink as an adult is cause adults know to drink and stay put. I drink at home but I do not get on the road and drink it takes one time to end lives. Drinking isnt fun it doesnt give you anything positive but a horrible ending..

They just did this at Deer Park HS yesterday. It was very heartbreaking, even though it was fake, seeing students "die" and get injured in a wreck right in front of school.. I won't be seeing the after video though.. Spose to be showing it in school today but I'm not making it. It really teaches you a lesson and this is why I love shattered dreams. :)

I currently go to Friendswood high school and just saw this years version of Shattered Dreams and i would have to say this one is alot better than the one they just made, it just seemed more realistic

For those who liked this production, it should be noted that, as this program happens every two years, FHS's 2010 Shattered Dreams is going on right now and the video being produced. I'm not involved this time, but if it gets uploaded I'll certainly direct everyone to it.

They did this in my school last year. Except it was all on scene so all of the students got to be there. The worst part of ours was when the girl was on the hood of the car dead and her mom was on the scene screaming and sobbing. Damn good acting for ours....then again. It was probably easily done for the parents because just imagining something like that happening to your kid is enough to bring most parents to tears. Let alone witnessing it... real or not.

our school is going to do a shattered dreams video and im going to be in it. I hope it can have this much of an impact. My moms brother and pregnate sister in law were thrown and killed on a motorcycle by a drunk driver. Shes told me i couldnt be the one who dies. She wouldnt be able to take it.

in texas since we are somewhat leniant on our drinking laws they mad it stricter so intoxicated manslaughter which is when you are over .08 and kill someone you have a minimum of 2 years and a maximium of 20 yes its a car accident but from your actions you killed someone so why dont you think about that instead of being a smart ass

You don't know what you are talking about. Intoxication Manslaughter is a criminal offense and the time to be served is to be determined by the severity of the crime. In this case, 20 years per death is a suitable punishment.

Shattered Dreams Just left my High School Today. Today Was our memorial. I am so glad i have been in this Life Changing Program. Drink & Drive & Your Fucked! My life has honestly changed. The ironic thing about this though is that Monday, (May 4th, 2009) 4 Of my best friends were in a car accident due to speeding though. we just did the shattered dreams as of today (3/13/09) and yesterday (3/12/09) at richland high... the crash happened 3/1/2/09 then they showed the video today 3/13/09 and had all of this been real, i would have lost a lot of friends...and 1 i just met and then found out she died so that was really depressing.. but now on 3/24/09 maybe ill wake up and itll all just be one terrible ass dream and hopefully let that be a lesson to everyone...u drink u drive ur fucked...damn this shit is fucked up

Nice work. Most of the editing on shattered dreams is just thrown together like ours was 2 years ago. (Its on my channel if you want to check it out.) This one I can tell yall spent time on the editing. Did the students do everything or did yall hire people for the camera and editing work?

All the camera work was done by the students, and even some of the cast members. While the editing was 50% students, the other 50% was our instructor, who's pretty much professional.

This is the result of the high school's Shattered Dreams program that they do every two years. They get the whole city involved and all the emergency response departments in on it. I was just the Assistant Director for this; I didn't do most of the work like my other videos. A LOT of people helped out with this.
