I'm 45 years old, just discovered this song from watching "Shutter Island"...and if you don't sit through the credits, you don't get the pleasure of hearing this song...I actually like this version much better because it's not as synthesized..I've heard of Dinah Washington, but was more of a Sara Vaughn person...WOW!
The most beautiful, complicated, complictedly beautiful and beautifully complicated voice male or female in any human genre - I've ever heard. With NO close second.
Yes, indeed. He has also included Johnnie Ray's "Cry", Kay Starr's "Wheel of Fortune", Lonnie Johnson's "Tomorrow Night", and, most moving, Max Richter's "On the Nature of Daylight", into the soundtrack.
the pacing, the interpetation of this song is incredible...WOW! She is addictive...other singers can seem dull beside her...an original...like Sarah Vaughn...distinctive
What a voice!!

The vesion on Shutter Island is acutally a mash up of the vocal from this and a modern classical piece by Max Richter. And it's AMAZING
