Wilson Pickett never got his just dues as a R&B entertainer. There will never be a soulful voice like his again! I was 12yrs old when I first listen to" ninety nine in a half won't Do ". I'm 57yrs old today and that song still ministers to my heart. His " B ", side songs was just as touching. The " Danger Zone, " " I'm Sorry, " and, " Three Time Loser " was awesome songs too! I will always love Wilson Pickett! RIP!

You should see Wilson in Only the Strong Survive. That man still looks so good. Clothes do not make him look good. He makes the clothes look good. I was going gaga every time they showed him. He has a vibrant personality that makes you want to hang out with him. He is definitely aging well or at least he looks fantastic on the dvd.

Live recordings in this 1st class quality were made by BBC-Studios, where was the live atmosphere of a rock concert together with the best recording technology of the era.

But a lot of these 60's guys carried over to the 70's, some emerged in the 70's and the overall musicianship was far greater in the 70's. I mean, c'mon...Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, Bobby Womack, The Temptations, Teddy Pendergrass, Al Green (And Ray Charles who was around for what seemed like forvever). I mean, Wilson, Otis and Sam Cooke were great though.
