@UnivingIshiro And Amaterasu? She's a dog statue, how could she fits in a fighting game better than Godhand (Godhand), Siege (Chaos Legion) or Samanosuke (Onimusha)? People complained about Zero's absence for a long time, but this doesn't mean they have to take off Mega.

@goukiocao Because they have a bit more of movement than X/Rock,however you got a point,removing Rock to Zero was great but they should have replaced X for Rock and add Zero as well and they can't say:"There was little space so we decided to put only Zero." because they could remove Nemesis for X or Axl.Don't worry,the only character that I hate is Nemesis since he's too damn slow and weak for being huge.

My own take on this, also going from right to left.

Megaman X - Introductory to the X series, players are given an entirely new set of mechanics, and armor pieces. We have Dash and Dash Jump, and the ability to Charge Maverick Weapons. The Mavericks themselves and their weapons in my opinion were the coolest in X-X3. This is our "training period"

Megaman X4 - Force Armor. We've given our first true upgrade to X. He gains more manuverability in the form of Air Dash and Ariel Hovering.

@Skycrusher Force Armor X also gains a new enchanced charged Buster Shot, a choice between the deadly Plasma Shot and for technical player, the ability to carry and hold Charged Shots. We've also given the Giga Attack, in this game balanced and a nice addition.

Megaman X5 - Falcon Armor. Fuck the Maverick Stages, X says. The ability to fly is almost but not quite broken, and fun enough to make us forgive it if it was. The charged Sniper Shot is fun to use, and the Falcon Strike is just basdass

@Skycrusher No charging Maverick Weapons balances the Armor out in my opinion.

Gaia Armor - The "safe" and tankish choice. Obvious immunity to spikes, and is given very powerful short range Buster shots to accomodate no Maverick Weapons. Very slow, very defensive, but more rewarding to use then Falcon Armor in skilled player's hands.

Ultimate Armor X - Giga Attack? Enough said.

@Skycrusher Megaman X6 - Blade Armor X. Not listed, but damn. X gets his own Z Saber, and with this Armor he can operate a Maverick Weapon, use X Buster, and still have access to a charged Z Saber strike. The Mach Dash can be made sick and tinkered with using Armor Chip upgrades, and the Giga Attack is very, very easy to hit with. Fucking awesome.

Shadow Armor X - X6's answer to the Gaia Armor. Same spike immunity, but now X can cling to ceiling, dash along them, shower the screen with

@Skycrusher shurikens (the varied angle of these shots makes it very easy to hit targets) and also like the Blade Armor, Shadow X is given access to both a normal Z Saber strike, and a charged Z Saber Strike, which is slightly weaker then Blade Armor. Giga Attack is still useful but harder to hit with safely.

In Megaman X6, Falcon Armor gets nerfed, but still boasts Ultimate Buster+Weapon Saver+Weapon Plus+Buster Plus combo. That means back to back Charged shots with Magna Blade/Metal Anchor

The first one's edited. Looks like somebody took the MMX5 or 6 sprite and re-colored it to look like X did Megaman X Command Mission (which was 3D and didn't have character sprites except for "mugshots").
