Are you living in the 21st century or what? To have an opinion is that everyone can have one. The true value of an opinion is that it has facts behind an opinion just to be even considered to be worthy to be listened to and not fantasy like a religion which hold no facts. Then we can justify that this opinion with facts can jump to the next level. In science we call this a hypothesis. First of all, being an atheist doesn't mean you have to be an evolutionist (although most are, because that's where the evidence points to).
Second, before you talk about evolution, you really should do some research. Evolution doesn't say we come from monkeys, it says that all forms of life have a common ancestor. Humans and monekys have a very close ancestor, compared to other species.

The differences between human chromosomes and other animal's chromosomes allows there to be no interbreeding, and even if there was, it would result in an animal incapable of breeding. Also, most organism's genatalia do not match human genetalia, so the chances of interspecies breeding is unlikely to say the least.

First of all, being an atheist doesn't mean you have to be an evolutionist (although most are, because that's where the evidence points to).
Second, before you talk about evolution, you really should do some research. Evolution doesn't say we come from monkeys, it says that all forms of life have a common ancestor. Humans and monekys have a very close ancestor, compared to other species.

Even a leader like dawkins tells us that modern monkeys are not our ancestors, they are our relatives. All life is related, why do lions kill gazelle? Sir, for one, you are clearly misunderstanding the term 'family tree'. A common ancestor is not part of one's family tree in the way that you are applying it. At some point there is a very real emotional disconnect.
All of that said, you seem like an intelligent person, so your questions can be answered through research.

Please learn something on the subject you wish to talk about as it is quite obvious the poster of this video lacks the simplest understanding of evolution or even atheism. Being an atheist is not even the claim of a belief in evolution. All someone is saying by claiming to be an atheist is they do not believe in your god, nothing more nothing less. You can believe in or not believe in a god and still believe in evolution.

And don't be stupid : everything evolves : today's fishes have nothing to do with the aquatic life form we evolved from. To cut it short: we didn't evolved from sardines. Sardines didn't exist at that time.

Realized something today . If I believed that I only had 20-50 years before I was permanent dust , the LAST place I would be was in here wasting my time trying to convert a bunch of kooky ''believers'' . Evolution does not require that you be an Atheist to accept. The Catholic church accepts it.
Secondly, Evolution does not say that you come from a fish. Or a monkey.
It states that we have common ancestry.
You and I are brothers wheras chimps are our cousins. We branched off of a distant ancestor. The branch that went on to become chimps developed independantly from us and the branch that became humanity lost jaw muscle mass which led to bigger brain

It also seems to me that the reason religious people buy their leaders' non-sense is that they have poor personal moral, because they rely on gods to decide what's right for them. If you can submit to a god (through a book), and you can submit to a respective priest (through his preaches), then you can probably submit to a political leader, no matter how unsensial the leader's policies are. Yes I would be absolutely delighted if you could find my ancestor as a Monkey since that would mean you could take DNA sample out of my ancestor who probably lived over 200 000 years ago (since that is when the human race was more like apes than modern men) and link it back to me in modern time. The differences between human chromosomes and other animal's chromosomes allows there to be no interbreeding, and even if there was, it would result in an animal incapable of breeding. Also, most organism's genatalia do not match human genetalia, so the chances of interspecies breeding is unlikely to say the least.

as an atheist i know that fish and monkeys are in the evolutionary tree, im not mad, as for eating fish...its yummy! and its a healthy source of protein and omega 3 (got that off the side of a tuna can!)

i would believe in a god, but i'm fucked anyways as all the other believers in different religions or gods or different sects of the supposedly same religion will tell me, i've chosen the wrong version. no matter, what religion i might use, i would blaspheme another one.
and any kind of faith has, by definition, the same amount of sound reasons to believe in them: zero.
it's clearly impossible that all religions are right, but it could well be, that they all are wrong!!

If a genealogist 'found' a monkey or something in my family tree I'd be annoyed that they didn't do their job properly. Humans have been unable to breed with other animals since before genealogical records began.

If you go back far enough you will find a single cell organism. You can prove this by remembering you started as a single cell in your mothers womb. How would I feel? I'd be laughing my ass off since you will have accomplised the impossible, to have made a family tree that long. You can not tell me who your 35th great grandfather is. atheists don't have to necessarily support the theory of evolution. besides, it's just a theory. birds and crocodiles are both reptilians, although they are different in their DNA, they are the same. elephants and mice are both mammals, although they have different DNA and all that stuff, just because of some DNA alterations doesn't mean that two animals must be of different species. if you believe that evolution shit, you must be a complete idiot.
