Create Universal Living Wages will not help us. Free market will still exploit people to make evil profits.
What need to be changes is our ethical value.
No more greedy, no more selfishness, no self-beneficial, no self-interests. but common goods for "all"
People should live a normal live. One cannot live with too excessive and the other lack of basic means. If one nations live in "luxurious" state of live, then "all" the states should live luxurious live. - "EQUALITY"
Take a look at what you need to be making to live in, say, Boston. And think back over the past 5-10 years -- have you REALLY had a raise, or just cost-of-living (like 3%) once or twice? Something has to give, and as the articles at the site show, places can pay a competitive wage and still be profitable. Most decent fast food places pay $9.00+ an hour down here. Not quite a living wage, but a lot better than minimum.
I am with you brother. How is that my Grandpa could be a Janitor and get a two story house. How is my Dad threw tires in a factory and made more money than I do now as a full time IT technician. There was a time when your family could survive one income.
