  • say yes to sucking my weiner hehe

  • The video is a beautifully crafted piece of propaganda. It ignores the fact that people didn't HAVE to riot because their leader refused to overpay them. It turns a blind eye to the fact that unions will continue to hold the government hostage whenever someone stands up to them. I don't like McGuinty and the Liberals, yet I don't take part in violent protests. Like most pinkos, you and those protesters refuse to take responsibility for your own actions.

  • Deficit Jim and Ernie Eves said the budget was balanced in Ontario and they left Janet Ecker holding the bag for $5 billion. Tim Hudak was Deficit Jim's main supporter. Who's going to pay for his energy price cuts? Who's going to be held responsible for the energy grid failing? Who's going to pay for the mess these people are leaving us in? Where's the future for our children? No good paying jobs. No money for education. An unhealthy environment. Well over $105 billion added to the federal debt.

  • theyre all piles of shit. when are the people of Ontario gunna strop buying into this bullshit left right paradigm?

  • @kielmoreau13 Maybe when the polarized state of our politics doesn't prove that left and right wing are too very different things.

  • Just remember, at the end of the 'Common Sense Revolution' Harris & the Tories claimed they had balanced the budget, yet it was discovered there was a 5 Billion dollar deficit. Entire hospitals were closed, nurses were let go, essential services were often cut so thin people actually died waiting for them. Remember Walkerton, that was due to Tory cuts. You want that Ontario again, vote PC, but God help you if you get sick or need a service that falls under the provincial government.

  • @dwayners13 I made a mistake the Tories only lied about a 5 Million dollar deficit.

  • @dwayners13 5 million...that would be 0.02% of McGuinty's record deficit a couple years ago.

Remember back when we had this thing called economic growth? Development? Efficiency? Employment? (Dare I say it) Common Sense?

  • @MrRedtubelover The economic concerns you listed aren't exactly isolated to Ontario or a direct & sole result of McGuinty's policies. There are a few other places in Canada, North America & the world that are experiencing these problems, yet on a much larger scale. Infact, compared to other provinces & states (US), Ontario is managing the economic concerns rather well. At least you offered a rational & mature rebuttal. In this forum maturity & informed debate is a rarity from the left & right.

  • @dwayners13 I myself like to look at the structural deficit. Deficits are not 100% evil. You run surpluses in good times so you can afford to run deficits when things go bad. The structural deficit is how the budget would balance under normal economic growth. This is a much more serious problem in Ontario. I attribute our structural deficit (which estimated at over 5 billion dollars) to Dalton McGuinty's over the top spending.

  • @MrRedtubelover Then explain why Eves ran a deficit that he never bothered to tell anyone about (which I think would be a criminal offence if you or I did that).

  • @BoredomCorner Oh, and I never said I liked Eves (who didn't accomplish anything much besides the hidden deficit). Ernie just didn't cut it. He wasn't as bad as McGuinty but he wasn't there very long. Mike Harris is a whole other (much better) story.

  • @MrRedtubelover So it's okay to commit fraud, as long as it's a smaller amount than someone else openly spends?

Good luck trying that logic in a courtroom.

  • @BoredomCorner Sad thing is under Ontario's election rules at the time, it was legal (that does not mean I support hiding deficits, I'm just saying legally it wasn't fraud). Mike Harris was a dickhead. A Fucktard. An Asshole. A Jerk. A Big Bad Meanypants. None the less he was a better Premier than Dalton McGuinty, Bob Rae, Dave Peterson, or pretty much any other Ontario Premier.

  • @MrRedtubelover Why was he a better premier? He left us choked with debt. He sold an entire highway to hide the impact of his tax cuts to corporations. He downloaded services like housing, onto municipalities, plunging Ontario's towns and cities into a state of permanent crisis. He privatized vital services--and we got Walkerton. And most sickeningly, he attacked the very poor, people on welfare. I have 2 friends that died as a direct result of the Harris cuts. May he and all Tories rot in hell.

  • @mightymissk c) The purpose of any project is to make the best product/service at the lowest cost, not to make it as labour intensive as possible. If you want to create a lot of jobs instead of being cost-effective, why don't we make everything by hand instead of letting machines do it? Why don't we block off the Sun to create a demand for light (more jobs in energy and lighting). Perhaps we should hire thousands of people with shovels to do do all the digging in our infrastructure projects...

  • @mightymissk I didn't like it when he attacked the very poorest. That went too far. Notice that is not in Hudak's platform. Not once has he made any "welfare bum" comments or made any attacks against the poor. I know you are going to say, "he's lying, he has a hidden agenda". Don't you realize that Mike Harris didn't lie about that; he was open about it, he campaigned on it, and it got him votes. Hudak has no reason to lie about it.

PS About debt: before Dalton: 132.6b. After Dalton: 241.2b.

  • Respond to this video... And Hudak is just like him. Like all Tories, Hudak favours easy answers to complex questions. The crime rate is falling but Hudak wants to institute chain gangs. Why? All this will do is wipe out even more jobs. If prisoners can be used as free labour--why pay a citizen to do the same job? Using prisoners as serfs will not help Ontario--just Hudak's rich friends. This is the idiot who wants to BORROW money to pay for corporate tax cuts. Hudak is a thug AND a fool.

  • @mightymissk a) Your dear Liberals are promising those same corporate tax cuts. It is one of the few good parts of the Liberal platform. b) Chain gangs are a good economic policy. They won't hurt the criminals (might even teach a little work ethic) and they will save a LOT of money. Anyone over the age of 12 should realize that much of the cost of having the public service do these duties won't even go towards paying the people doing the job; it is lost in bureaucracy.

  • @mightymissk One last thing. Read my other comments first.

I'm actually an NDP supporter. I've been trolling you all this time. Scary thing is my Tory arguments seemed pretty reasonable lol.

  • FUCK CONSERVATIVES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Mike Harris. Tim Hudak: Same pile of shit.

  • vote libertarian, the party of choice!

  • Since McGuinty's been in power, Ontario's education system has increased to a rank of 5th in the world. Ontario student's literacy skills have increased to 2nd world wide. Representatives from other nations visit Ontario to take pointers from our world class education system. Why would anyone vote for a government who wants to claw back all the gains we've made in education? This system is paying dividends!! Healthy democracy= a healthy education system.

  • Those videos look a lot like the G20 Police attacks to me to me. Even if you don't like the idea of Tim Hudak being another Mike Harris, I sure as hell don't like Dalton McGuinty being Dalton McGuinty. It's pretty sad that people who support this clown have no defense then saying they don't like Mike Harris (out of office for nearly a decade). Notice how they never say Dalton McGuinty is better then Mike Harris either.

  • Are this riots against HST or McGuinty's health tax?

  • Can't afford Mr. No Tax McGuinty any more. Hudak is better option for working people.

  • Harris got the budget under control because we couldn't afford NDP's crazy spending (Remember Rae Days) then the following Liberal government has spent the last 8 years pissing away our money again.

Even if you didn't agree with Harris' policies, he kept his election promises and did what people voted him in to do. The same cannot be said for Dalton McGuinty by any measure.

  • @RobSoprano83 the Rae Days were a cost cutting measure to reduce government spending. You've obviously been listening to too much Conservative Party bullshit. To say that Mike Harris kept his election promises is the biggest joke of all. This is pure Conservative propaganda. He did not promise the things he did. He lied. He suckered in the well-meaning voters of Ontario and then produced a campaign that brain-washed them all to repeat over and over again that he kept his promises. Not true!

  • @Zoomer1915 Cost cutting measure? They had to close government offices cause they couldnt afford to pay the staff. Great cost cutting measure.

Pretty easy to say oh he lied, he didnt do this he didnt do that, without giving any examples. "Not true!" "He lied." Way to make a substantive argument.

  • @Zoomer1915 read the common sense revolution book from back in the early 90s when he was elected the first time. everything he said in there he did. If people expected him to say everything that was in there because they are too lazy to read it themselves that should tell you something about the voters of this province. Harris did what was needed and didn't back down to unions who are the true problem in today's society.

  • Not true. Harris said he wasn't going to cut health care and education and he cut billions from both. Workfare also never happened. All this cutting and still managed a $5.6 billion deficit.

  • Harris was a saint among men! He saved ontario from increasing debts. You left wing bicycle riding pinkos can all go bite a lemon. No matter how liberal you are, when times are tough, cuts WILL be made. Live with it.

  • So the province was bankrupt. What did you want to do? Secede from Canada, print Ontario dollars, inflate the snot out of them and reduce the real value of the public debt? No! You had to reduce the size of the bloated government! The shitty rent-seeking street-level bureaucrats were not performing their jobs to their full capacity, so fire a bunch and make the remaining ones work hader for their publically-funded paycheque.

  • @jacketman22 you are exactly the kind of hate monger that Harris appealed to. Politics based on hatred is a sad thing. You are so certain, like a racist who groups all people of one race together, that everyone who worked for the government was a slacker, that you are willing to justify massive cuts. That's stupid thinking. It also fails to take into account the reduction in service to the public that results from cuts - can you say "Walkerton?"

  • @Zoomer1915 First of all, I love how you attacked my personal characteristics, likening me to racist groups, rather than attacking the core of my statement. Second, I happen to be closely related to two provincial civil servants, and I've worked in the Ontario Ministry of Finance. So unless you're one of the poor sods at the bottom of the bureaucratic hierarchy trying to cover his ass, I've got a feeling that I'm a bit more informed about the workings of this dysfunctional power structure.

  • @jacketman22 You have missed the point I made. I did respond to the core of your statement. You justify massive cuts on the basis of your limited personal experience with a group. This IS like racism. That is the problem with the core of your argument. You are a small thinker. Cuts to the public sector are not an answer to debt reduction. They are a right-wing, hate based smoke screen. Add a lie about tax reduction and you get a lot of votes from people who fail to see the big picture.

  • Blame Paul Martin. He cut provincial transfers by a THIRD! There is a massive vertical fiscal imbalance when it comes to provinces and their ability to fund what they are constitutionally obliged to fund. The feds have larger taxing powers and the provinces depend on their transfers. Harris was caught between a)balancing a budget and b) receiving less and less funds. Dont be so naive.

  • @ZakBrownrigg123 True, Mike was faced with a dilemma. But it was hardly what to do about transfer payments to the provinces. In his neo-con noodle, that was a no-brainer - make the poor and middle class pay. The trouble Martin was faced with was, how to move his businesses off shore to avoid taxes and still enjoying all the perks of being a major Canadian corp. In the end his investment in politics was the best one he and his family have ever made. Vertical this, balance that; who's being naive?

  • Mike was a teacher. He didn't like all the "perks" teachers get so he became a politician. He loves the perks politicians get. Mike was never on welfare but he knew how unfair it was that all those welfare Moms were driving to the welfare office in their Cadillacs to pick up their cheques. I worked for the Metro Toronto Children's Aid when Mike was king. Within a week of his coronation, my kids in care were giving their $15.00 weekly allowance to their moms for soup and bread. Yeah Mike!

  • @ujean56

    Here here!

  • are you going to hang the G20 rioting on McGuinty or Harper? I think people should be more upset about the spending and taxation that has gone on in Ontario over the past several years. I guess people don't mind losing more and more money.

  • Teachers and nurses were fired, bus outings cancelled, all this to make a public outcry, this was not the intention of Mike Harris or Tim Hudak, cutting costs where $ were being wasted was the intention but this would have made school boards and hospitals act responsibly and this is not how they responded. The Common Sense revolution was needed, unfortunately the school boards and hospital administrators couldn't admit to having a problem at the top.

  • Teachers and nurses were fired, bus outings cancelled, all this to make a public outcry, this was not the intention of Mike Harris or Tim Hudak, cutting costs where $ were being wasted was the intention but this would have made school boards and hospitals act responsibly and this is not how they responded.

  • Rob Ford and Tim Hudak? There goes the neighborhood...I'm embaressed at the level of hate, greed and ignorance that has allowed these clowns to threaten our already week democracy!

  • BOY, you have to be a very jealous and insecure person to post such a video.

Are you that afraid that McGuinty will lose, so you need to trash the other party!!

  • That was the same bunch of greasy hippy doucebags that rioted in Toronto last week..... They were rioting in this video because Harris was going to force them to work for their welfare.

  • I find this video funny. Did you see the G20 (2010) Summit under Mcguinty? At least Mike Harris didnt screw taxpayers for 1.2 BILLION dollars.

  • HARRIS.. we need you now more than ever. Mcguinty wont leave my paycheck alone.

  • mike harris scum bag fucked this great province

  • small government and fiscal conservatism. sounds like a winning and correct direction.

  • Gkeeming Your a tool, The liberals are exactly what the name stands for when the handle our money

  • @Johny1G The Liberals are more frugal than the Conservatives have ever been -- or were you looking the other way when Eves left office, with a deficit that he never bothered to reveal to the public?
