little further, in wisconsin like 97 or 98, the generator ran out of gas during richies set, gas was filled, and somebody said "get back to work" --he didnt miss a beat!
Ach... bit of a bugger.. got tix to brixton... web site said it was a 10 til 6 gig... got there at half 1 to find it was finishing at 2... raaaaaarrrrgh... so had a little 20 min dance... so effed off... apparently no come back, but hey, my bad..... just wish i could have been there for the gig proper... plastikman so influential to almost all of today's pop... keep having to tell all of my young techno/electro friends that without plastikman (plus underworld et al) they'd have no music...
@osomy Well everyone is influenced by something... but that doesn't mean it's necessary to speak about them in an interview about his own music. The interview is afterall about his Plastikman project so it'd seem redundant to speak of people who have influenced him. He made the music lol.
Been following him since 1999, his older stuff are nothing short of brilliant I have 1st editions on vinyl & cds. Infact he was relatively big with a small crowd compared to his fanbase today. Plastikman was never mainstream, to release all his stuff in a boxset is a clear sign that he is towards the business venture. There hasn't been any release under plastikman album since 2004 AFAIK. I am skipping this in my collection, arkvies reflect how good he really was back then but not any more.
Plus 8 years! Sometimes I wish i could make the time go back! But then I think that present is good too..and hope future will be even better..in music at least! Love you guys..
following you since 2008, saw you the first time at lowlands 2010. thank you, for inspiring me and my music! defently gonna buy the arkives set. love it!
