  • Star Wars in the background. great stuff.

  • 4:30, this quote is SO going up in my hallway. FOREVER. XD

  • Where is this documentary???? 2:59 ???? I want!

  • I ALMOST CHOKED ON MY RAMEN WHEN HE SAID, "To reveal that I am Patrick Stewart." It... Sounded... Just like him... 8'D

  • Like, swimming in a rainbow with thousands of naked babies.

    Really?

    Oh, yeah.

Fuck, Brent I'm going to say that ALL THE TIME now.

  • here brent spiner's acting serious.but if you know brent spiner on twitter, brent prefers to act childish and silly.

  • Green FART!

  • What was that movie that Mark Hamill was in? Harrison Ford was in it, too ! I think it had something to do with Space ?

Does anyone know if that movie was successful ?

  • What a douche

  • I love him. <3

  • Daaaamn, that's a great Stewart impression!

Brent Spiner really seems like an awesome guy! The difference between him as Data and off the screen is staggering!

  • He wears the hell out of that shirt. Apparently hes on the plum jam diet.

  • @RandomSpewBros2 klingon? better check your eyes out..

  • When I met the guy...I really liked him. His introversion came out just a bit, but he truly was charming. I have met a number of celebrities, he is the best I don't find myself wanting many others successful I feel kind of envious. I wish him all the success he deserces, which is considerable.

  • OH I would die to meet him ! :D

  • @RandomSpewBros2

    brent was data the android.

  • @MrTabby5000 He is attempting to start a heated argument for a laugh. Don't fall for it.

  • The quibbling about "Superhero: The Movie" reminds me of when someone pronounced Data's name "dah-ta" and he corrected her: "Day-ta."

    "What?"

    "You called me dah-ta."

    "What's the difference?"

"One is my name. The other is not."

  • Wonderful guy. In person, his pure masculine charisma will make you melt. Huggle-able cutie-pie. Great CD too! He should record more...lots more.

  • Brent Says he is done with data. but. he is Data, A little bit everyday, but still he needs Specifics. Superhero The Movie

  • Mark Hamill "You may have heard of him"...Um, yeah? Star Wars, Luke Skywalker, The Joker...

  • @gsus7125 yes he is the guy who was in science fiction films as well, but unlike people like the entire cast of Star Trek. he doesn't want to have any much more to do with Star wars. he wants to be known for other things that will never be as big as his role In Star Wars.

  • @gsus7125

yea i think the interviewer totally missed that one.

  • Brent, I want to hug you.

  • He really is a phony because I heard him use a contraction.

  • I keep telling myself, "I want to like Brent Spiner... I WANT to like Brent Spiner..." But I'm going to have to be content with simply liking the CHARACTERS he portrays in TV, film, and theater... I mean, honestly, I WANT to like Brent Spiner...

  • i agree

  • all the better

  • His facial expressions remind me of Steve Carrel.

  • Data's wish came true he is now human lol

  • i think i prefer him as an actor its actualy creepy that he`s singing

  • HAHA! Does anyone else hear the SW music in the backround. I love Brent. He is one of the nicest StarTrek actor. "Swimming in a rainbow with thousands of naked babies." AhAHAHAAHAHA.

  • Haha "That Harrison Ford film". There you have it people, Brent Spiner isn't a fan of Star Wars :)

  • Wonder if he lookes better in real...doubt he can xD

  • "You focused?" Yeah brent, u got dah moves man! u got dah spunky moves

  • Hahahahaha His impression on Patrick Stewart is so flawless!!!!! He is so awesome!

  • OMG I love the very last part when he impersonates Patrick Stewart. He's amazing, how can he do that?

  • Aw! He so pretteh XD

  • He's hilarious.:D

  • The babies comment was a little weird.

  • I think he was being sarcastic as he realizes the movie wasn't very good.

  • Spock1802:

exactly ;) what do you say to something like that... you just struggle to compose yourself while pros like Spiner keep a straight face as if they were talking about the weather

  • Data... is aging. He has finally become human after all...

  • kommanda Delta !

  • I think it was Battlestar Galactica.

  • I got to meet him at the Starfest in Colorado this year! He was a nice, funny, and great guy!

  • trekkies

  • I like Brent, but find him extremely apathetic in an interview situation. He may be a great actor, but he's wasting the reporter's time. If he doesn't like doing cons or interviews, then he should decline. There are less than a handful of interviews with Brent inwhich he actually answered questions or showed that he has any regard for his fans or the interview process. This interview makes him look like he'll only speak to the public if the company pays him. How sad for Brent who is well liked.

  • agree! thanks for speaking out!

  • Can't blame the guy, he only entered the franchise for work.

  • Believe it or not, part of the job description is to give interviews, for which they actually get paid!

  • this may be hard to understand, but Brent isn't exactly a trekkie.

he has a whole body of acting work that has nothing to do with star trek or science fiction at all. I'm sure he took the role of Data because he thought it would be good, steady work that would help his career.

at the point he took the job, Star Trek was a 3 season show that had been cancelled for almost 20 years. If Rodenberry hadnt been alive at the time, TNG wouldnt have happened.

  • now imagine, for him, from that point after, no matter what he did, he was Data.

that means that role is going to stick with him for the rest of his life, and color all his work afterwards. Why do you think his character was killed off in Nemesis? he probably told them flat out he didnt want to be painted like an albino anymore.

This also may be hard to get, but some actors dont like getting typecast, living on royalty and residual checks, and doing the convention circuit.

  • He's been on Broadway to rave reviews. I have a movie that he plays the head of entertainment on a cruise ship and he STOLE THE MOVIE...SO HILARIOUS.

  • exactly, thats where his true genius shines, when he's allowed to be exhuberant. they really stifled his potential as Data, basically making him a vulcan with even less emotion. Spiner is not a science fiction actor, he's more a Broadway actor.

  • I think what's amazing is that as Data on Star Trek, he shines through as being to many the most sympathetic and, often times, hilarious character of the entire cast, despite limitations in a character that might of stifled another weaker actor's performance.

  • exactly, the only actors worth a damn on TNG were Spiner, Stewart, Meaney, Burton(to some extent), and maybe about half the guest stars.

you can tell who was good because theyre not trying to live off the coattails of the Star Trek franchise. Spiner's been in the subsequent movies (probably due to contractual obligations), but other than that, he hasnt even been on a scifi gig. everyone else has been just barely getting by.

Jonathan Frakes, need i say more?

  • What is that thing he mentioned that 'trekkers would soon find out about'??

  • at about 2:45 i heard starwars music

  • Better actor than your mother in bed!

  • hear hear!^^

  • Hey, Data! I have a Prius, too! I love it! I carry it around in the trunk of my '73 Cadillac.

I have always wanted to ask Brent if he's ever visited Pennsylvania Dutch Country, and whether Data could speak Amish talk.

  • His Patrick Stewart impression is awesome.

  • Lol right when he said I drive a Prius, I automatically thought of the commercial made by the people from "Weeds" - "Prius really good for sneaking up on motherfuckers".

Anyway, I hope he does do more acting in Star Trek. I know they got rid of Data, but you have to remember that they still have the prototype version, B-4. So hopefully he does.

  • Why... WHY is he still so sexy?

  • Some guys just have it and never lose it! Leonard Nimoy, Patrick Stewart, Brent Spiner...always gorgeous!

  • @Simoneallen1 And William Shatner!

  • @Simoneallen1 so true!

  • @Simoneallen1 Worf... Michael Dorn counts too... He is a Hero having been in tons of movies and like 14 years of Star Trek.

  • Comment removed

  • ...a broad variety of pleasures...

  • HAHA @ 6:15, he does a great Patrick Stewart

  • This guy interviewing.. he seems a little overwhelmed sometimes.

  • "It was like swimming in a rainbow with thousands of naked babies."

  • Brent Spiner sings????? wow i knew he was a great actor but he sings???? thats somthing

  • See the first few minutes of Star Trek: Nemesis.

  • lol i saw that one its a good movie but i asummed that was just his character for the movie.

  • Sometimes he still fails to use contractions.
