@allesuperstar1 In this scene Jo and Beth are at the beach because Jo always promised Beth she would take her there and essentially Beth is dying because she is sickly and depending on how you depict it, Beth either dies at the end of this scene, or it is just implied that she dies very soon after. on Broadway it is depicted that she dies shortly after, however when i was in high school we did it and she dies on the beach sitting down and then blackout. Its a really great scene.
