I swear this was The Who at its finest. Moon is still awesome, Entwhistle is right on and Daltrey's voice is the best ever. Peter, well, he won't ever die. Moon is especially remarkable, but that was Keith. Just one more.
I think the editors cut out alot of it. I know this for sure. I've seen them perform We're not Gonna Take It and I have the audio of it too on my Ipod. All I know is that he probably did sing more verses but someone was a douchebag and had to cut it "for time purposes"
Why is all of the camera work mainly aimed at Pete and Rodger, and practicaly never on Entwistle or Moon.
It sickens me how alot of people say Pete Townsend was ALONE The Who and fuck the other three members, i apreceate that he wrote most of their songs, but that dosent instantly mean that he is the whole band.
The other members are just as big part of The Who as Pete was you know.
well he obvioiusly liked it since hje was in the band for more than 30 years! also him not jumping around like pete or roger kinda brings the band down to earth and cements them down kinda also he doesnt really need to jump around etc to prove himself becuase his bass playing is all he really needs!
John lived for being on the road and living the life of a rock star. The only reason why The Who started touring again in the 90's was because John was in debt for living the lavish life of a popular rock musician. John continued to tour with his solo band after The Who dissolved and was not very successful, so Pete and Roger decided to help give back to John by touring like they used to.
Love this video and song. But I absolutely hate when John is never shown. I mean, he was only the bassist for The Who. Just because he wasn't as amped up as the rest of the band doesn't mean he should've been shut out in the videos...
O.K first, It's Pete Towns("H")end with an H. Secondly, He was NOT found guilty for those charges as he was looking up websites for a book. And thirdly, to answer your question, this was WAY before the child porn incident.
R.I.P Keith. Your the GREATEST drummer ever! Think if he still did tours with them... you think he would still have his swiftness down? haha. So clean and so stylish. MOON THE LOON!
you all have it wrong john died from a getting high off cocaine in a hotel room with a prostitute in Vegas and his heart stopped, in other words a heart attack
The Left handed Beatles survived. The Most talented members of the Who did not. This is coming from a dedicated Moon and Entwistle fan. God bless Pete,he has tons of talent and ability, but it pales compared to the uncanny abilities of his former bandmates.
why would u replace the ox and keith?! i agree paul and ringo are good not as but nowhere near as good as entwhistle and moon. The who and the beatles are 2 different sounds combing them especially with the weak half of the beatles wouldnt work.
Very true. Keeping meter is about all Ringo could do! I bet Pete could play the shit out of some Beatles tunes though! I'd love to hear him bang his way through "Revolution"!
Ringo and Paul with Pete and Roger? BAD COMBINATION, maybe Ringo but not Mccartney. You cant fit Paul Mccartney and Pete Townsend in the same band. Cause both of them RUN the band.
Agree, bad combo even though Ringo has spent a lot of time in the studio with Moon and Pete. As for Paul joining, I'm pretty sure they could have some fun jamming together on some oldies but as far as creating anything new... without a doubt there's really nothing that Paul can do that wouldn't bore Pete to death. Would be a debacle from the start.
yup, no doubt. Ringo would have to have his son Zack school him on drumming.
I've heard Pete say that Zack actually learned more from Moon as a child than he did from his dad. I suppose all the partying Moon and Ringo did paid off in the skills of Zack. I think it's way too cool that Zack is their drummer too. I like Kenny Jones a lot but Zack seems to fit in better.
OIC where you are going with this... yeah I will admit that Ringo wasnt that great of a drummer. And of course Keith Moon is better than Ringo. Ringo is like your drummer drummer, and Keith Moon is like your drummer x10 + keyboardist + soloist in one.
lol well... id have to argue that. I mean really I know im going to get eaten alive in here for this, but I really think Carl Palmer of ELP was better than both of them. Not put together but individually. And im a HUGE Zeppelin and John Bonham fan so thats my honest opinion.
Carl amazing as well. But it's all subjective. My favorite happens to be Ginger Baker. And I like Charlie Watts a lot too. For me, any of them that can put me in a better mood is good.
As for Paul & Ringo...what I've heard and read s that by the time they started Abbey Road, Paul was a more sophisticated drummer and wanted to play a lot of the drum parts. Ringo had a fit and threatened to quit. John stood up for Ringo, but I can guess it happened like you said...Paul instructed him anyways.
Oh and speaking of Ringo who has been bumped to the bottom of the barrel by now lol. I've heard many time that his drum parts were always directed and maped out by Paul Mccartney in the studio. That is when he played and recorded with The Beatles. In the world of drummers that must be... embarrasing!
lol well, Paul probaly could have done it all, I dont know why he didn't just give George Martin the boot and take over the production of the albums himself. lol And if Paul could be two places at once he should probaly just play the drums and get rid of Ringo alltogether, lol but thats bogus!
Yeeeaaaahhh welll. SLOW & SHIT!! The original & early live recordings sound like a disturbed teenager on amphetamines, this sounds like middle aged men after smoking too much dope. Controversial viewpoint..... Fuck it, it's the truth. Flabby, dull performance of a a 2 minute classic. Now feels like 3 minutes. Grrrrrr!!!
