please answer me one question...and my english is probably as awful as you´re german :-) why are hitler and the german nazis so interesting for the british people. they hated and hate the nazis but somestimes i have the feeling: they adore the dark power...
@mindfield666 Its a myth, in poland too, where my parents come from and my family lives, my cousin for example is a WW2-Freak, he knows every german weapon that has been used and has dozens of books, models, even layouts from the Aggregat 4 (A4 = Vergeltungswaffe 2 = V2) and U-Boot-Klasse XXI, the first REAL U-Boot worldwide and other hightech german weapons. Allies won because of quantity, but nazi weapons were more effective and impressive, sometimes even (too) gigantic like the Königstiger.
@mindfield666 I wouldn't say "adore" but yes, many find Hitler very interesting. I think Germany under Hitler is viewed as an extreme example of how people who are generally as good as any other group of people can, under the right circumstances accept horrible behavior as normal or necessary.
There is good and evil in all people and what happened to ordinary Germans under Hitler is sort of an extreme example that happened in semi-modern history.
