Mark (the deaf one whom signing) writes out the song and he goes to his friend and figures out the signs to put for the words and make them all go together.. and then his brother goes and sings it for Mark. Mark is the star and main person in these songs.. and his brother is only helping him reach his goal. Mark was born in a musical family and this is his version of singing. I love it! :D
This guy is my new hero!! I love all the songs and the themes involved. I disagree that it was kind of "dark" as someone said. Hearing people are not used to meaningful words but marko's words are meaningful to all Deaf people. Wonderful!!!

im learning Auslan in school and we watch these videos. my whole class loves Signmark! my deaf teacher even has a crush on them. they are my heros, i myself am hearing but i hate the way the hearing world treat the deaf. they are people to and deserve our respect as much as anyone. I'm absolutly flattered by signmark! I'm hearing student and I'm learning German Sign Language at the moment. Can anybody tell me if signmark is signing in this video in American Sign Language or in Finnish Sign Language? Cause I can't tell, I only can tell that it's not German... :-)

I'm saying the music video as in the video itself does not go well with the song. It's a video involving a birthday party and he's singing about standing proud back against the wall. Do you not find that complicated or off-the-point-like? Don't comment anything of mine unless you fully understood what I'm saying.
@GrizzlyBoy485 You've got to understand, that music videos rarely relate much to the song itself. Of course, there are some, but most of them might not make any sense. This is not an expection.
Music videos are art by their own, they don't have to be realistic or have something to do with the song literally.
here is an honest question. Is he actually using ASL or is it SEE or PSE. I am not deaf or HOH, or CODA, but his signs just seem a bit different from what i've seen of other ASL videos. He seems to be translating each word of the sogn, instead of the conceptual interpretation of ASL.
this guy is literally my hero!! I'm hard of hearing and I don't listen to much music because they either don't have the beat or they just plainly don't make any sense.. just screaming in the mic.. where as signmark actually takes the time and makes the music for the both of us in both the hearing world and the deaf world.. we need more singers like signmark in this world :D

@carfan41 i understand what you mean, i'm 17 years old and hearing, i work with a little deaf boy he's about 7 years old, in order for me to let him hear the music i listen to (which is everything) I let him put on headphones and turn up the volume so that he can hear and feel the patterns of the sound. Deaf people are literally my favorite people ever, they're truely amazing and can overcome so much.

Maybe Hearing and d eaf = partially d eaf, hard of hearing, severe hard of hearing, profoundly Deaf.....even Profoundly deaf can hear something..
